I am quite let down by the service from DHL Sri Lanka. My DHL Express shipment included a crucial professional certificate from the UK. Once it arrived in Sri Lanka, I was told that my parcel would be given to a local courier, which meant an extra two working days for delivery. Before I received this clarification, I got an automated message claiming my delivery address was incorrect. This information was not only wrong but also misleading. My address is accurate, and no one reached out to confirm it. Later, when I spoke with DHL customer service, they clarified that the delay stemmed from the third-party courier's handling, not an address problem. It feels unprofessional to send system-generated messages pointing fingers at address errors instead of simply explaining the delivery delays, especially when dealing with time-sensitive documents. Given the importance of the certificate, I had to arrange to pick it up personally from the DHL office. This whole experience falls short of the standards I expect from DHL Express.
