This little place is charming, cozy, and pleasant. They even have games available and a designated smoking area. We tried the pure dark chocolate ice blend, but unfortunately, it only deserves a 2/5 from us because it lacked the expected dark chocolate bitterness.

It’s possible we chose a poor time to visit, as we waited thirty minutes for our fries! We had to prompt the server twice, and the two servings arrived almost ten minutes apart. The cappuccino was alright. On the bright side, the games entertained us while we waited.

The food here was excellent. I had a hot tiramisu latte along with a chicken caesar salad, and both were enjoyable. The dressing on the salad was particularly impressive—definitely one of the best Caesar salads I've ever tasted. The cafe staff were welcoming and the vibe was fantastic as well.

This is such a tranquil spot to relax and unwind. The staff is fantastic, and the food is incredible! Every dish I've sampled from this cafe has been truly tasty and definitely worth the cost. I've discovered my favorite cafe and will keep sharing it with others. Thank you 💜

The atmosphere is lovely—calm and tranquil, making it a perfect spot to unwind and savor your meal. The English breakfast (9/10) was undoubtedly the standout dish I had. Everything was prepared excellently: the sausage packed a lot of flavor, the eggs were cooked just right, the mushrooms were well-prepared, and the chicken bacon was delightful. All the elements blended together beautifully. The Shrimp Delight (7/10) was okay, but I thought it could be improved. The vegetables were slightly undercooked, and the portion seemed smaller than what was shown in the photos, which was a letdown. The double espresso (7.5/10) was robust and had a great flavor—definitely a solid coffee choice. However, the hot chocolate (5.5/10) fell short. It lacked that deep chocolate richness and was overly milky. All in all, it was a pleasant experience with some fantastic dishes, though there are a few areas that could use some tweaking.

My husband and I dropped in for lunch and everything we ordered was outstanding! I opted for the hot chocolate, which is among the best I've tasted in Sri Lanka—possibly in my top 5 favorites. My husband chose the Cafe Latte, which was also quite good. For our meal, I had the Crispy French Fries and the Batter-fried Calamari. The fries were the chunky kind, crispy as advertised, and nicely seasoned with salt and herbs. The calamari was love at first bite for me; it had a burst of flavor from the chili garlic sauce, and the cooking was spot on. My husband was very impressed with his Eggs Benedict too. The only downside was the lengthy wait time, which we later learned was due to a new chef learning the menu. Honestly, I appreciate that they prefer to take their time to serve a dish at its best rather than rushing things. If their food is this great right now, I can only imagine how much better it will get as they settle in.

This was my first visit to Nook cafe. They offer a solid variety of food options, including choices for vegetarians. I had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Sandaruwan, a fellow coffee lover who was very passionate and knowledgeable. He paid great attention to detail when I requested my coffee a certain way, and I really appreciated our engaging conversation. However, I think it would be beneficial if you invested in higher quality coffee beans and considered upgrading to more comfortable seating, like a small sofa, so patrons can relax with a coffee, a meal, and a good book. I ordered a flat white, tomato soup, and two paneer wraps. Overall, it was a pleasant experience, apart from the seating issue.

I've enjoyed their grilled cheese and tomato soup in the past, and I found it to be absolutely delicious and just right. However, during my recent visit, I decided to try their chicken poke bowl. I was disappointed to find that the rice was a bit dry, and the chicken tasted somewhat bland and also slightly dry. Based on this experience, I wouldn't recommend the poke bowl. On a positive note, the staff were very friendly, the restaurant was clean, and the overall atmosphere was pleasant with great vibes.

I visited for coffee and had a delightful breakfast. Everything was fantastic, with excellent quality and service from Bhagya. I’ll definitely return. If you’re in Mount Lavinia, you should check out this spot.
