    Pleasant Stay with Friendly Service

    I stayed for two nights and found the location to be excellent—quiet and serene. The owner and his family are very friendly. Overall, it offers great value for the price.

    Helpful hosts but needs cleaning

    I have mixed feelings about this place. While the hosts were friendly and accommodating, and the location is convenient (though a bit off the beaten path at the end of a muddy dead-end), the rooms and overall property leave much to be desired. With some effort in tidying up, it could be great. Many reviews mention this issue, but it seems there's been little action taken, especially regarding the cleanliness of the bathrooms, which I found disgusting! The food was also not impressive. I'm not sure I can recommend this place.

    Comfortable stay near Polonnaruwa

    The place felt more like a cozy apartment with three double beds and a small kitchen, along with one bathroom. The owner was quite friendly and available for any inquiries. We enjoyed string hoppers for breakfast, which were tasty. The road leading to the location was a bit muddy but manageable. The best part is its proximity to the ancient city of Polonnaruwa. However, I was disappointed that despite booking the room a day ahead, it wasn't cleaned properly. We found cobwebs above one of the beds and dust on the bathroom floor, which cost them two stars in my rating.

    Lovely stay at Deer Garden Guest

    I recently had a great experience at Deer Garden Guest in Polonnaruwa. The lodge is beautifully located, providing a tranquil and serene atmosphere. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, which made my visit even more pleasant. The rooms were tidy and comfortable, equipped with all the essential amenities. I especially valued the soundproof walls, which allowed for a good night's sleep despite the early morning bird songs. The air conditioning was fantastic during the hot days, and the complimentary high-speed internet was an added perk. The lodge's location near key sights like the Polonnaruwa Vatadage and the Gal Vihara was excellent for exploring the area. I also appreciated the free breakfast, which included a variety of tasty local dishes. In summary, Deer Garden Guest is a wonderful option for anyone visiting Polonnaruwa. I would certainly recommend it and am eager to return in the future.

    This guesthouse is conveniently located just a short walk from the Polonnaruwa Archaeological Site. The family that operates it is very helpful, and the rooms are affordable.

    Great stay at a convenient guest house

    I really enjoyed my time at this guest house! The location is ideal—only a quick stroll to the ruins city, which made it easy to explore. The staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and consistently greeted us with smiles. They exceeded my expectations in service.

    Comfortable family guesthouse with great food

    This guesthouse is a cozy and well-kept spot for families, featuring a peaceful green area outside where you can relax and enjoy the sounds of birds, monkeys, and other wildlife. Its location is excellent, close to town, cafes, restaurants, and the clock tower, making it easy to access day tours around the area. The owners are incredibly friendly, welcoming, and attentive. You definitely need to try the food for an authentic Sri Lankan curry experience. We enjoyed both breakfast and dinner, and the meals were delightful. Stuti
