Beautiful views and friendly staff

Excellent service and comfortable stay

I can't recommend this place enough. The staff really go above and beyond to assist. The pool is fantastic, and the beds are quite comfy. When the fan in our room stopped working, the owner promptly replaced it with a standing fan. One morning, the breakfast was an incredible buffet since the hotel was fully booked, but even the next morning, we still had plenty of delicious food on our table. I give this place top marks. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Great stay at Tishan Holiday Resort

Tishan Holiday Resort really surpassed my expectations. The atmosphere is tranquil, featuring clean and cozy rooms, a lovely pool, and staff who are genuinely welcoming. Breakfast was quite enjoyable and offered a great variety — including many small Sri Lankan snacks, fresh fruit, and some Western options, ensuring there was always something new to sample. Although the resort is located a bit outside of town, which provides a serene environment, it’s manageable if you don’t mind taking a tuk-tuk for transportation. Given the price, this place offers excellent value. I highly recommend it.

Great family-friendly hotel experience

This hotel is one of the best places to stay with family and friends! The swimming pool is absolutely stunning, and we adore it! This is our third visit to this hotel! Even though we've explored everything in Polonaruwa, we always return here when we need to relax. You won't find a better place than this! The owner, Thanula, and his family are wonderful!

Great buffet and friendly staff

Our group visited to enjoy the swimming pool and have lunch. The staff was incredibly welcoming. The buffet offered a wide variety of options, featuring numerous curries and vegetables—so many choices! The food was delicious! A tip: don't hesitate to ask for less spice if needed.

Quiet guesthouse with clean rooms

The longer I stayed at this guesthouse, the more I appreciated it. Located at the end of a quiet side road, there's minimal traffic noise. While the rooms are on the smaller side and sparsely furnished, they are very clean. There’s air conditioning, but no kettle for making tea or coffee.
