    Great stay with memorable safari

    This hotel is quite impressive! Staying indoors was a welcome alternative to camping, especially with the likelihood of rain at night. The room was spacious and clean, featuring a large bathroom. They provided free parking at a friend's place in town and transported us to the hotel in a jeep, which took about 20-30 minutes on a bumpy road. However, it is conveniently located near the Yala entrance. Due to heavy rain, we arrived late for check-in, but they graciously prepared a delicious fried rice dinner for us upon our arrival. 🥹 The staff were all very courteous. They organized a private safari for the entire day, and we spotted three leopards! We had a great vantage point for photos. The jeep was clean and well-maintained, though there was an issue with the back signal light. At least it didn't break down, unlike some other jeeps we saw in the park. We even saw a sloth bear. Overall, we had a fantastic time during our stay and the safari!

    Charming stay with great service

    This relatively new place is run by two brothers who go above and beyond for their guests. Located about 20-30 minutes from Block 1 Yala National Park, they are eager to help with any arrangements you might need. They took my wife and me out for a sunset kayak ride around the lake and a walk the next evening. This spot is shaping up to be something special and is quite reasonably priced. They offer only vegetarian meals and don’t serve alcohol, but you’re welcome to bring your own. We enjoyed four nights here, which was a refreshing change from our usual routine. Each couple gets their own small bungalow, providing a sense of seclusion. Even though the restaurant is nearby, they will fetch you for meals. This place is excellent, and if we return to Sri Lanka, we will certainly come back here again.

    Great hotel with friendly staff

    This hotel is the best in the area thanks to its location and staff. Situated by a lake teeming with wildlife, the staff are friendly, welcoming, and embody hospitality and cheer. Everything was managed efficiently and on time. The food was superb, and the customer service matched that quality.

    Wonderful Nature Retreat

    This charming lodge is located near the park and immersed in nature. It was an amazing getaway to unwind and enjoy some time by the lake in the forest. We stayed for two nights, and the service was exceptionally friendly. The food was delightful. We also went on a safari with them, and everything was well-organized, from the lunch boxes to breakfast. I would definitely recommend this place.

    Charming getaway with great food

    This lovely little retreat features several cabins nestled in beautiful nature, providing a sense of privacy and a good night's rest. The owners, two passionate brothers, are incredibly friendly, and it's clear they take pride in their venture. What truly amazed us was the dining experience; they have a fantastic chef who treated us to some of the best curries we've tasted in Asia. Thank you for everything!

    Great stay in a scenic location

    We had a wonderful time here. The rooms are not only clean but also quite roomy, featuring private bungalows nestled in a beautiful environment. The lake is stunning and teeming with wildlife. The owner eagerly took us on a tour of the lake where we spotted hornbills, crocodiles, and much more.

    Wonderful stay with great staff

    My friends and I enjoyed a fantastic one-night stay! The staff picked us up at the entrance to make sure our vehicle wouldn't get stuck. Communication was excellent, and there were no language barriers. Our room was spacious, clean, and had very comfortable beds. We had plenty of hot water, and the air conditioning worked perfectly. The chef is amazing! They even took us on an evening walk around the property, where we saw a lot of wildlife! The service and staff were outstanding!

    Amazing stay in Sri Lanka!

    This was our top choice for accommodations while in Sri Lanka! The pick-up from the nearby temple was smooth, and after a brief drive, we arrived at the hotel. Upon checking into our room, we found it to be immaculate, equipped with excellent air conditioning and a great shower. We enjoyed a tasty lunch on the pontoon overlooking the lake, then spent the afternoon observing the incredible wildlife that inhabits the surrounding jungle and lake. The full-day safari they organized was fantastic - our guide was skilled at spotting various wildlife, and we had ample time to watch a leopard he found! On our final day, we woke up early and went kayaking around the lake. It was absolutely stunning and provided a perfect conclusion to a wonderful stay.
