    One of the best plece to stay at Katharagama.Clam environment. Clean rooms and washrooms. Highly recommended.

    The food was quite salty, and the prices felt steep. They charged 220 rupees for a one-liter bottle of water. However, for dining, Shiva Restaurant is a solid choice in the area.

    A Comfortable Stay in Katharagama

    It's superb. Whenever my family visits, we find it to be a very clean and pleasant place that feels like home. The food is delicious and very flavorful. The staff is friendly and provides good customer service, making it feel like I'm visiting my brother's place. It's also very comfortable and conveniently located near all the main areas in Katharagama. There's plenty of fun to be had, and it's easy to connect with Yala safari guides. I would recommend anyone to visit and stay at this guesthouse. I come from Canada, and during all my vacations, I end up going to Katharagama and staying at hotel Sisara.

    To start, the tea offered is excessively sweet, and I noticed some bugs in the rooms. During my visit, the water supply was interrupted, and there was quite a bit of dust around. Additionally, some of the rooms lack TVs and also have dust.

    This is a great place to stay that offers good value for your money. It's conveniently located in town, making it easy to walk to all the attractions you want to see in Kataragama. There's also parking available.

    Convenient for Short Stays

    I reserved an AC double room. The bathroom had an unpleasant odor, and the place isn't within walking distance to Kataragama Devalaya. That said, it works well for a short stay of just a few hours. Unfortunately, there were no jugs or supplies for making tea.

    Disappointing stay for friends

    I arranged this hotel for my friends, but they found their stay quite disappointing. The owners were not very welcoming, and there were several issues with the room and facilities. The bathrooms had a bad odor, the bathroom light was out, and there was no soap or drinking water provided.
