The place is managed by a very welcoming family. It's conveniently located near the main street but tucked away on a side street, making it surprisingly peaceful. I stayed in a cozy twin room that had a balcony. The air conditioning worked well, and the room was a decent size. I strongly recommend it for both the price and the location.

This place is in a nice spot, nestled in a rural area just off the main highway. The rooms are quite spacious and the wifi connection was solid. The host was a delightful lady. On the downside, however, some of the pillows had mold on them, and there were stains on the netting above the bed. We ended up sleeping on top of the duvet because the bedsheets seemed to have bed bugs, making it too itchy for a good night's rest. Additionally, the outside of the rooms was overrun with lizards and insects, which I appreciate from a natural perspective, but it was still a slight downside. The toilet also needed some serious attention. A word of caution: don’t share your travel plans with the host, as she will push her recommended taxi service. I can't comment on the prices, but others have mentioned that they can be steep. Due to the poor condition of the bed, we decided to leave a day early. With some proper cleaning and bleaching of the linens, this hotel could be quite nice.

My partner and I were quite unhappy with this restaurant. While we appreciate nature, this establishment had too many creepy crawlies for our comfort, making us feel uneasy and stressed. The room we were assigned, number 102, is in dire need of refurbishment, particularly the restroom.

The room is very spacious and includes a kitchen. It's situated in a fantastic location right in the heart of Dambulla. I really valued the service provided by the host family, which creates a comforting, home-like atmosphere. Overall, it was an incredible stay, and I would definitely recommend this place to others.

I'm currently staying at Dambulla Rock Arch Hotel and I'm quite impressed. The rooms are very clean, spacious, and comfortable, with hot water that works perfectly. I feel very safe here, and I appreciate the sense of freedom and privacy it offers. The hotel is surrounded by beautiful green trees, creating a calm, cool, and refreshing atmosphere. It's an ideal spot to unwind after exploring Dambulla. The staff are friendly and accommodating, and the service overall is excellent. I'm having a truly wonderful experience. We were really happy to spend two nights at Dambulla Rock Arch! Its fantastic location allowed us to explore Dambulla thoroughly. Our room was quite spacious, and the balcony was beautifully surrounded by lush greenery. I highly recommend this place!

We want to highlight the amazing hospitality from the owner, who was incredibly kind to us. From the very beginning, they made us feel at home, even treating us to some local sweets and coffee, and arranging a last-minute Elephant Safari for us. Now, about the room: it was quite spacious, featuring a small garden, patio, and kitchenette. We had a great night's sleep on the large bed, enjoyed hot showers, and had ample room for our backpacks. What a fantastic find! If you're in Dambulla, I strongly recommend this place. The room was quite spacious and had all the amenities we needed. The hosts were amazing—so lovely and welcoming. We enjoyed the best breakfast in Sri Lanka here, featuring traditional local dishes that were freshly prepared and delicious. Plus, it's just a short walk to the Caves and near plenty of dinner options. For me, the best part was the tranquility of the area; it was delightful to sip on a fresh cup of tea in the morning while listening to the birds sing.

We were greeted with a warm welcome and found our room to be beautifully decorated, clean, and spacious, complete with a small kitchenette area and a full-sized fridge stocked with its own cutlery and crockery. Although there were no cooking facilities, we didn’t expect any, and the prep area served us well. The large bed was comfortable, featuring quality linens and excellent pillows. The location was conveniently just off the main street, with a supermarket and an off-license right across the road, plus a fantastic local bakery just a five-minute walk away. For those planning to catch the local bus to Kandy, it stops conveniently outside the Bentota Bakery, which was a pleasant surprise as it saved us from walking far with our luggage. The owner and his family were very friendly, and we found the value for money to be outstanding. Our room came equipped with a mosquito machine, an iron, and a hairdryer, yet we didn’t encounter any mosquitoes. The air conditioning was both powerful and quiet, ensuring a peaceful night’s sleep. The WiFi worked well, and the balcony was completely shaded. Breakfast was delightful, and as a kind and unexpected gesture, we received a little gift of biscuits for our journey ahead. If needed, a taxi service is available through Susa on site, who also offers various local tours and speaks fluent English. Don’t miss the Cave temples or Pophams Arboretum for the nightly safari to see the slender Loris. Overall, it was a wonderful stay and I highly recommend it. Thank you!
