    Pleasant Stay with Great Food

    We enjoyed a lovely two-night stay at Golden Ray Dambulla on a half board plan. The food was truly delightful, offering a wonderful range of flavors that really impressed us. Our rooms were spacious, impeccably clean, and well-kept, showcasing the hotel’s commitment to comfort and hygiene. The staff were exceptionally friendly, welcoming us warmly and always available to assist with our needs. A special shout-out for the considerate arrangement made for our driver, along with comfortable nearby lodging at a very reasonable price and meals provided by the hotel itself. All in all, it was a very enjoyable and memorable experience. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Dambulla!

    Great stay with fantastic Indian food

    I stayed here with friends and found it to be a great property close to Sigiriya. The rooms were nice and the pools were clean. The highlight was definitely the incredible Indian cuisine made by Chef Manoj. If you're looking for Indian food while visiting Sigiriya and Dambulla, this is the best choice!

    Great hospitality for families

    This hotel was truly excellent. We appreciated the hospitality, especially since we traveled with infants, and the staff took great care of our children. The food was fantastic as well. I highly recommend this place!

    Disappointing stay with poor food

    Our experience at this hotel left much to be desired. The quality of the food was really subpar — honestly, it was not acceptable at all. We had made arrangements with the staff to access the swimming pool until 11 PM, but they unexpectedly shut it down at 9 PM, which was both frustrating and inconvenient. Another significant issue was the absence of adequate facilities near the pool. There were no changing rooms available, and to our surprise, we were told we had to pay for an entire room just to change into our clothes. It felt like a scam.

    Great food in a quiet spot

    Located roughly 800 meters from the main road in Dambulla, The Golden Ray offers a peaceful atmosphere. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. We were a large group of 23, and the breakfast as well as the two dinners we enjoyed were always abundant and of excellent quality.

    Great stay with attentive service

    I stayed for two nights and found the rooms to be exceptionally well-kept. The staff went out of their way to offer us warm meals late at night. Mr. Manjula kept track of our arrival and ensured our meals were fresh and ready. A really nice place overall.
