    Pleasant atmosphere, minor bug issue

Overall, it's a lovely place, though I did encounter a few bugs in the room. The hotel offers a charming vibe with its restaurant located by the pool. It's a great place to unwind and spend time in a rather dull little town.

    Concerns About Room Condition

We recently stayed at this hotel as a group and wanted to express some concerns about our experience. Unfortunately, several aspects of our stay fell short of the expectations that were initially set. The first room we were given was not in good condition, especially the bathroom, which was not cleaned properly. Although we were later moved to a different room, we felt that the situation was not addressed with the level of care and professionalism we expected.

    Decent Stay in Dambulla

We stayed in the older section of the hotel. The rooms were acceptable and clean. I noticed the hairdryer was installed in a rather unconventional way. The pool was a bit cloudy one day, but it looked much better the next. Overall, the staff were very friendly and accommodating, making it a solid choice for a stay right in the heart of Dambulla.

    Pleasant stay with great amenities

This hotel is fantastic—spotless and well-maintained, plus it features a beautiful pool. It's located away from the main road, making it peaceful and quiet. The restaurant serves excellent food, and the WiFi is reliable throughout the hotel. I would definitely return if I'm ever in Dambulla again.

    Great stay with friendly staff

Our experience at this hotel was fantastic overall. Its location is perfect, just a short walk from Dambulla city center and the Cave Temple. We did face a minor issue with the number of rooms compared to the beds, likely due to the Airbnb setup, but it was quickly and effectively handled. The staff truly enhanced our visit: they were all wonderful, friendly, always smiling, and genuinely available whenever we needed assistance. The pool is lovely, and the garden, filled with beautiful trees, provides a very calming atmosphere. Honestly, the photos don't capture the true beauty of the garden area; it's much more impressive in person.

Lovely hotel with a relaxing pool

This hotel is beautiful! The pool area is clean and surrounded by a garden filled with plenty of sun beds. They even provide cute pool towels. It’s such a relaxing spot! The staff is incredibly kind and accommodating. Upon arrival, we were greeted with refreshing cold towels and fresh juice. There's also a complimentary pool table available.

    Terrible experience, poor service

Our stay at this hotel was incredibly disappointing and unacceptable. We were assured certain amenities before we arrived, but nearly everything fell short. The room we were given was very dirty, particularly the bathroom — the floor was grimy and clearly hadn’t been cleaned. When we voiced our concerns, the staff showed no concern and took no responsibility. Even after we switched rooms, they charged us around 25,000 per room, which feels outrageous given the subpar conditions. Instead of offering an apology, they blamed us for arriving unexpectedly — that’s no excuse for bad service. The food service was even more frustrating. We paid extra for kitchen access, but the cleanliness was appalling. The glasses were not properly washed, as they had visible smudges and lip prints. This is completely unacceptable. As a group of about 40, we found that the breakfast provided was only sufficient for around 10 people, which indicates serious mismanagement. When we brought this up, the staff chose to argue with us rather than resolve the issue. This hotel is lacking in fundamental cleanliness, professionalism, and respect for its guests. I absolutely do NOT recommend this place to anyone. Steer clear of this hotel unless you want to waste your money and ruin your experience.

    Great city location, mixed comfort

The location is fantastic if you want to be in the city, just a 20-minute stroll to the entrance of the caves. However, the bathroom was not very comfortable, and the room was just okay. The breakfast leaned a bit too much towards local flavors for my liking. Dambulla feels very much like a real city with little to offer tourists, so be ready for that.

    Pleasant Stay with Great Service

I spent one night here with my parents, who had visited a year ago. They now have a new building (the front building) with different pricing compared to the old one. We opted for the old building, so keep that in mind. Our rooms were clean and included complimentary water, tea, coffee, and milk sachets. However, the bathrooms felt a bit outdated, and I noticed some damp issues, although they seemed to be addressing the problem. There were quite a few mosquitos outside the rooms in the old building, but I was fortunate not to get bitten inside. Both breakfast and dinner were delicious. The pool was delightful and surprisingly warm, even on a cloudy day. There’s also a gym, which I didn’t use, and a pool table. A special mention to Mr. Sugath, who was available around the clock, preparing our meals and multitasking with other guests while also making Dodol (a traditional sweet) for a homecoming that evening. He really made our stay enjoyable!

Welcoming staff at a nice hotel

This hotel features a pleasant pool right in front of the Dambulla bus station, complemented by an amazing and friendly staff. The standout aspect is undoubtedly the exceptional team working there, including the receptionists, waiters, and cleaning staff—all of them. They put in hard work from morning till evening. The rooms are very clean, and I noticed the kitchen is well-maintained as well. During our five-night stay, I saw the staff consistently working through breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Everyone was genuinely nice. The swimming pool is lovely, surrounded by trees, and the garden creates a relaxing atmosphere. You can enjoy lunch or dinner by the pool. It’s a convenient location whether you’re arriving by bus or private vehicle, with parking available next to the bus station. The Dambulla Caves are just a 5–10 minute drive away, Sigiriya Rock is around 30 minutes, and village tours take about 20–30 minutes. There aren't many nice restaurants in Dambulla, anyway. Overall, it’s a nice place with welcoming staff. ☹️ However, there was a strong smell of humidity in the room, and water leaked out from the shower while in use. These are minor issues that could be addressed to enhance the experience, but I've encountered similar details elsewhere in Sri Lanka. This hotel is a family-run establishment rather than a corporate brand. Despite the drawbacks, I appreciate everything. This was our first accommodation in Sri Lanka, and the people here will stay in my memory forever. They have a lovely garden with tables outside for dining, but breakfast is served indoors, which can be quite warm and carries the smell of humidity. It might be worth considering serving breakfast outside as well.
