What a wonderful family and a delightful location! The room was warm and inviting, just a minute's stroll from the beach. Breakfast was straightforward yet tasty, featuring fresh fruits, toast, and eggs. I would definitely return. Highly recommended!

The owners were incredibly welcoming and made us feel right at home from the start. Each day's breakfast was fresh and unique. We could have easily spent the whole day lounging in our room, which was beautifully designed with large glass windows that made us feel like we were in the jungle while also enjoying a sea view. It’s really impressive. The location is amazing; it’s like its own little oasis. There's a beautiful beach with a few small restaurants nearby, and I hope it remains that way. 10/10, we’re definitely going back!

The rooms are spacious and well-lit, equipped with all the essentials. The vibe was unique thanks to the incredibly friendly owner and staff, making me feel right at home. Plus, it’s just a short walk to the ocean! :)

The family that runs this place is truly wonderful; they were incredibly friendly and accommodating. The location is excellent, offering a view of the beach. We had a fantastic experience overall and originally planned to stay for three days but decided to extend our visit. The only drawback was that the air conditioning was only in the bedroom, which left the living room quite warm on windless days.

I definitely suggest staying here! The location is ideal, just 10 meters from a serene beach perfect for surfing or relaxing. Our accommodation was roomy, featuring a second-floor bedroom, a spacious living room with a kitchen, and a terrace. While not overly luxurious, it was very clean and comfortable. The highlight, though, was the hospitality! Nimesha and her father genuinely took care of my friend and me, providing local advice, ensuring we got fair prices, and even arranging tuk-tuks. Their dedication made our time in Sri Lanka truly enjoyable. I wouldn't even call it mere "service"; it doesn’t capture the genuine effort and care Nimesha invests in her guests. I would absolutely return to stay here if I visit Matara again.

I stayed at this hotel for 12 days. Even though I had paid for a full month, we quickly discussed the electricity charges. However, just 11 days later, I received a surprising electricity invoice for the whole building, which led to an argument.

During our stay in Matara, we encountered the friendliest people at Ocean Villa. Although we chose not to stay there, we ended up visiting nearly every day to enjoy their company and meet their two adorable dogs. Initially, we picked a different hotel, a choice we came to regret. From the moment we arrived at Ocean Villa, it felt like home. The hosts are incredibly warm and welcoming, even giving us a tour of their spacious, beautifully decorated, and charming rooms. There's also a lovely beachfront restaurant operated by the family’s uncle. We enjoyed several fantastic meals there, relishing delicious food while taking in the breathtaking ocean view. Thank you for an unforgettable experience and your amazing hospitality. We wish you all the best!
