Charming Sri Lankan Souvenir Shop

Located in Wangor Face, this Sri Lankan souvenir shop is cozy yet filled with a variety of items. It's primarily frequented by foreign tourists. The staff was friendly and not at all pushy. When they discovered I was from Japan, they expressed their love for Japanese manga and anime, particularly One Piece, which really made me happy as a Japanese person. I ended up purchasing a small pink stone Ganesha statue that fits perfectly in my palm, priced at 1,000 rupees. It felt reasonably priced, neither too high nor too low. I appreciated that all items had their prices displayed, ensuring I wouldn't be overcharged. This shop feels like a safer bet compared to other souvenir stores in Sri Lanka, where prices are often hidden, and you have to ask for them.

Perfect spot for unique souvenirs

I visited in December 2025 and found it to be a bit on the expensive side, but it's an excellent place to pick up handmade souvenirs to take home. The guy at the counter wrapped everything I bought in bubble wrap very neatly, and they arrived in perfect condition when I got home.

Disappointing experience overall

There's really not much to do there, guys. No recognizable brands, no food court, and the local cafes are just okay. It's a waste of time.
