    Budget stay with some issues

    The rooms are generally fine, though I paid 4000 for a night in an AC room that didn't cool very well. Despite setting the temperature to 18, it felt more like 25, and there was some noise from the unit. I mentioned it to the uncle, but nothing changed. The owner was in Colombo at the time, so I ended up sleeping with the fan on instead. The room comes with an attached bathroom and has both a double bed and a single bed, making it a budget-friendly option for families.

    Convenient stay near Perahera season

    I came across this place while searching for accommodation during the Perahera season. It's situated a bit outside of town, but you can reach the Dewalaya in around 20 minutes on foot. Although the rooms and furnishings are dated, the stay is definitely worth the price. One downside is the lack of nearby dining options, which meant we had to head into town for meals. There's parking available both on the property and along the access road.
