Delicious Pad Thai in a Beautiful Garden

The meal was fantastic, definitely the best I've had in Bentota. The outdoor garden dining area is lovely, and the food was incredible; I highly recommend the Pad Thai! They also offer great vegetarian options. The staff here are exceptionally friendly and kind.

Disappointing stay with many issues

This was the worst hotel experience I've ever had. It felt like a plane that’s still being built while in the air. The pictures are misleading; it’s not actually a beachfront property. A very loud train separates it from the beach and the nearby beachfront resorts. The pool on the rooftop is underwhelming. The room photos on booking.com feature the blinds shut for a reason. During the heat of the day, we ran out of water. The bathrooms lack exhaust fans, making them feel more like saunas than showers. As for the breakfast buffet, it resembled more of a meager ration, leaving you feeling like Oliver Twist. They wouldn’t even provide fresh towels. The manager puts on a passive-aggressive front to sidestep any confrontation.

Great Rooms and Location

The rooms are nice, the shower is fantastic, and the pool is incredible! It's just a short stroll to the beach and conveniently close to the train station—literally, the train stops right behind the place.

Comfortable stay with friendly staff

We enjoyed a pleasant, clean, and refreshing one-night stay. The rooftop pool and breakfast were both enjoyable, and the hotel quality aligned well with the price. Although the trains can be noisy, it didn’t disturb us. The staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive.

Clean hotel with great views

We stayed on April 11th and 12th, 2026. The hotel is clean and tidy, with a modern feel. It’s located just 250 meters from the public beach, and there's beach access from the backyard after crossing the railway. The breakfast was good but not enough for one person, and there’s no buffet option, which was a bit disappointing. The rooftop pool offers a fantastic view, which is a real plus for this hotel. However, parking space is limited, and there are no balconies. The bathroom was clean and well-maintained, but the shampoo and body wash felt outdated. Additionally, the bathroom floor drains slowly, causing water to pool. I hope these issues can be addressed. Overall, the hospitality was excellent, and I would recommend this place for anyone looking for a short stay.

Fantastic Beach Hotel Experience

We spent a few days at this hotel and had a fantastic time! The hotel is lovely, and the breakfasts were delicious. The staff was friendly and incredibly helpful, always ready to assist us. It was a relaxing beach getaway, and the absence of crowds, pristine beaches, and stunning ocean views made our vacation truly unforgettable! A big thank you to the entire hotel staff for making our stay so wonderful. I highly recommend it!

Charming hotel with great service

This new hotel was a delightful experience. It was well-furnished, impeccably clean, and very comfortable. Both Thushara and the hotel owner, Nuwan, were incredibly friendly and went out of their way to help me arrange trips and transport at no extra cost. The food was excellent, and the restaurant had a lovely charm, situated in a garden right next to the train platform. It's also conveniently close to the beach and offers a wonderful view from the rooftop pool. Overall, it’s an excellent value for the price.

Great stay at Riviera Tide Bentota

We had an amazing time at Riviera Tide Bentota. The hotel's location is fantastic, just a short stroll from the beautiful Bentota Beach, making it perfect for a laid-back beach vacation. The rooms were contemporary, spacious, and impeccably clean, with all the essentials for a comfortable stay. Everything was well-kept and thoughtfully arranged. A standout feature was the rooftop pool offering breathtaking ocean views - an ideal spot to relax, particularly at sunset. Breakfast was delightful, featuring a nice selection of both local and international dishes. The staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and always willing to assist with a smile, which enhanced our experience. In summary, Riviera Tide Bentota surpassed our expectations.
