This is a budget-friendly mid-range place managed by a welcoming family. We arrived after a long trip and were treated to a lovely pot of tea. They were also accommodating in arranging transport for us, which was quite reasonable.

I know this review is a little delayed, but better late than never. I reserved Villa Unawatuna for my birthday weekend, and I was really pleased with my choice. We were assigned a roomy triple room on the top floor, which was immaculate and very tidy.

I reserved a stay for three nights, and before I arrived, I was informed about some water issues. They repeatedly urged me to cancel, but I refused since I would incur charges. Despite my multiple requests, they wouldn’t cancel, so I eventually had to reach out to customer service through booking.com. I believe it could be a lovely place to stay, but their customer service leaves much to be desired.

We enjoyed everything about our stay. We originally booked for one night but ended up extending it for another. The rooms are new, spacious, and clean, featuring a modern bathroom. The Villa is conveniently located near the main road, surrounded by numerous restaurants, and it's within walking distance to the beach. Breakfast was absolutely fantastic, especially the type of bread, the pancakes, and the banana milkshake. The family running the place were incredibly friendly and welcoming.
