We spent the nights of the 20th and 21st at the White Temple Hotel. Nimesha was incredibly accommodating and ensured we had a wonderful hotel experience. Her warm and friendly hospitality made my wife and me very happy, truly beyond words.

While traveling to Polonnaruwa on April 29th around 4:00 PM, we decided to stop at Hotel Sudu Araliya. Even though the buffet had wrapped up, we asked if we could order from the à la carte menu.

The venue boasts a large garden overlooking the Parakrama Samudraya reservoir. However, the garden is somewhat muddy in several areas, and I believe it could benefit from some improvement. I booked my stay through Agoda, but the room descriptions only mentioned a garden view, not a lake view, which was a bit misleading.

I usually avoid writing negative reviews, but I found this 3-star hotel quite disappointing. The only highlight was the lovely garden by the lake. The hotel itself is quite dated and in poor condition. The lobby is connected to the restaurant, leading to a strong food odor throughout the space.

I traveled with my family and reserved a quadruple room with full board. Unfortunately, the air conditioning in our room didn't function properly, so we were relocated to a smaller room. When I pulled up the window blind, all I could see was a wall, which felt quite confining—almost like being in a prison. The food was quite disappointing as well.
