This is a great place to hang out with friends, family, or even for a business trip. The food was delicious, and the staff was really friendly. It's a nice location with comfortable rooms. Plus, the prices are fantastic and very reasonable. I highly recommend this place.

We reserved two rooms and clearly stated that there would be four adults in each room, which was confirmed. Upon our arrival, they reiterated this and even permitted us to store our luggage in the rooms. However, when we returned later, they unexpectedly informed us that four adults could not stay in each room. This was incredibly unprofessional and infuriating after having confirmed it twice. The receptionist's demeanor only exacerbated the situation. She was quite rude, dismissive, and showed no inclination to assist or take responsibility for the mix-up. Rather than addressing the issue in a calm manner, she communicated in an unfriendly and unhelpful way. After all the travel and meticulous planning, this sudden change coupled with poor customer service added unnecessary stress. Overall, it was a very disappointing experience, and I cannot recommend this hotel given how we were treated.

The North Way Hotel in Vavuniya presents a modern and appealing stay, located a bit away from the town but conveniently along the A9 road near the Air Force base. The rooms are new, spacious, and tastefully decorated, creating a fresh and inviting atmosphere. The layout makes them comfortable for both short and long stays. The reception staff are friendly and attentive. From check-in to check-out, they treat guests with courtesy and care, always eager to answer questions and provide assistance. Their helpful demeanor contributes to a warm and welcoming vibe, and although I booked online, all necessary information was readily available and quickly accessible. The food at the hotel is quite good in flavor and quality. It's well-prepared and convenient, especially since dining options nearby are scarce. Having dependable meals on-site is a significant advantage for travelers. Breakfast was priced at 1200 LKR and offered a good selection as shown in the picture. Pricing overall seems fair and reasonable given the services and facilities provided. However, I purchased a Red Bull advertised at 750 LKR, but my final bill came to 1300 LKR, which felt unreasonable for similar products. Such inconsistencies can lead to confusion and dissatisfaction among guests. It's crucial that displayed prices align with what is charged or at least be more reasonable, as noted. The cleanliness of the bedding and towels needs attention. The bedsheets could be fresher, and the towels had noticeable marks that were off-putting. These marks are immediately visible, and cleaner linens would significantly enhance comfort and overall impression. A major concern is the presence of ants. Small ants were spotted on the bed, tables, chairs, and various surfaces. This is not only uncomfortable but poses risks for families with infants or young children. Several other guests have reported the same issue, indicating it’s a recurring problem. Pest control is urgently needed to resolve this and make the rooms safer and more pleasant. Despite these issues, the hotel has many positives. The spacious and well-decorated rooms offer a comfortable environment. The staff's cooperation and friendliness elevate the experience, and the food quality is commendable. With fair pricing for most services, the hotel provides good value compared to many options in the area, making it a solid choice, especially when compared to their sister hotel, 'Nelly Star'.

The ambiance of the place is quite cozy, but the team and management displayed a lack of professionalism. We experienced a minor issue with a small ironing burn on the bedsheet, which resulted in a slight stain from the hot iron. They charged us 7500 for the bedsheet, which was nearly the same as the cost of the entire room. When we questioned this, they informed us that an additional 2500 was needed for transport. This felt quite unprofessional and showed a poor attitude. When we asked if this was their standard procedure, they had no response. Overall, it was a disappointing stay, and there was no assistance offered to help carry our bags to the rooms.

I had a fantastic experience at Northway. The rooms were quite spacious, tidy, and well-kept. The food was excellent, and the service was impressive, thanks to the very friendly staff. It's definitely the best place to stay in Vavuniya.

We stopped by Hotel Northway at No. 515, Vavuniya, for some tea and coffee today. We arrived around 10:00 a.m. and had a nice cup of coffee. The restaurant offers plenty of space, making it ideal for larger groups. The staff were very friendly, helpful, and attentive. The washrooms were impressively clean, and there was plenty of parking available. All in all, it was a delightful experience.

The property is beautiful, but the check-out process has a significant downside. The required room inspection before guests can check out fosters an uncomfortable feeling of mistrust. This policy detracts from the overall hospitality and makes guests feel like they are being treated as suspects rather than valued customers.

We had a fantastic stay and an incredible experience at the hotel. A heartfelt thank you to Kinthushan for his exceptional service and professionalism during our visit. We also want to recognize the two female staff members who were incredibly friendly, helpful, and attentive, ensuring we felt welcome at all times. The food was truly delicious, with each meal cooked to perfection. The rooms were immaculate, well-kept, and very comfortable. Additionally, we attended a wedding at the hotel, and the wedding food was outstanding—beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. Overall, everything surpassed our expectations. Highly recommend, and we can't wait to return!
