Charming but Noisy Rooms
The property exudes old world charm, but the rooms with balconies above the main restaurant can get noisy, depending on the guests. It has a vibe reminiscent of a posh youth hostel.

My daughter and I spent two nights at Dunes, and it was a truly delightful experience. The staff were exceptionally kind, attentive, and sincerely caring; they made us feel at home from the very start.

We would give this place an even higher rating if possible. It’s truly a hidden treasure of a hotel, perfectly situated in the heart of Unawatuna yet offering a serene jungle retreat feel. The staff is fantastic, the rooms are lovely, and the shower is exceptional. I highly recommend it…

A lovely little oasis nestled in a bustling resort filled with fantastic shops and eateries. I regret not booking a longer stay and definitely plan to return.

I had a lovely and tranquil experience at this quaint hotel, which is a low-rise structure crafted from reclaimed wood and various materials. Nestled within a serene and vibrant tropical garden, the hotel is home to peacocks and a group of purple-faced leaf monkeys.

This place is beautiful and peaceful. We really enjoyed our time here. Its location offers easy access to the restaurants and shops on the main street, plus it’s just a short walk to the beach. The open shower was a nice touch, but be careful of bugs and lizards getting into the bathroom. Other than that, I would definitely recommend this place—10 out of 10! I truly loved my stay and the service was excellent!
