Poor experience with unprofessional doctor

Did some people really become doctors by paying money? My mother discovered the OPD's black number and visited the doctor there because the clinic's book had been ruined by flood water. She requested a letter, but when we asked her for her phone number to facilitate this, she refused. Consequently, she did not provide the letter and instead scolded us. If a doctor isn't competent, they shouldn't prescribe medication to the ill. Next time, I'll make sure to expose you.

Supportive staff, but bathroom issue

My grandfather is in a new building in the 2nd ward. The staff here are incredibly kind and supportive. However, there’s only one bathroom available for the entire male ward, which isn’t enough. Overall, the cleanliness and the patient visiting process are quite good.

Frustrating experience at Negombo General Hospital

My mother has been admitted to the hospital after suffering a stroke. I found the staff at Negombo General Hospital to be generally terrible, with only a few exceptions. However, the ambulance service was quite good. The entrance staff was notably rude and aggressive. Since my mother is bedridden, she needs someone to assist her around the clock, as the nurses do not provide that level of care. She's been in the hospital for three days now. When my sister briefly stepped out and tried to re-enter before visiting hours, the gate staff refused her entry. Who will take responsibility if something goes wrong? This situation is inhumane and incredibly frustrating. You would feel the same if you were in my position. It raises serious questions about the professionalism and humanity of hospital services in Sri Lanka, and when we might expect better care from them. This message is aimed at those in charge. Thank you.
