I really enjoyed my time at this hotel. We stayed for two nights and had a wonderfully relaxing experience. The staff were very attentive and helpful, and our room was beautiful, right on the beach with an incredible view of the sea. The food was excellent. I highly recommend this hotel. Thank you to the beach cabana staff for making our holiday so lovely!

We planned to stay for just 2 nights but ended up extending our visit to 7 nights, only leaving because we had to travel. The staff is incredibly professional, and it's clear they genuinely enjoy what they do. The hotel is spotless and stands out by providing complimentary 5L bottles of mineral water daily, along with daily room cleaning. Breakfast is quite good, offering several choices. You can enjoy stunning sunsets from your bathroom, your own private deck, or the beach just steps away (literally) — all at a very reasonable rate (we paid around $80 per night on average). I only wish I had discovered this gem sooner or had the chance to stay even longer.

This lovely surf beach is only a few meters from the ocean. The food was enjoyable, and the staff were welcoming. Although the place is a bit worn down, it still has its charm. The pool is fantastic.

I really don’t get how this place has a rating of 4.3. The hotel feels very old and rundown, and it doesn’t resemble the images on Booking.com or other hotel websites at all. The rooms are in a stale condition and it’s quite disappointing. It’s hard to believe this hotel is part of a tour—guests deserve much better. Given how everything else looks, I’m not feeling hopeful about breakfast in the morning. I’ll update my review after that, but right now, this experience has been quite disappointing. This level of quality is just not acceptable for a hotel.

This place has a fantastic location and offers exceptional customer service, with food that truly deserves a 5-star rating. The staff was very attentive and fulfilled all our requests for food and services. Their responsiveness was impressive.

The location is simply amazing. It's a really cozy and relaxing space. The rooms are nice and offer good value for the money. This was the best stay of my holiday.

We had a lovely time with family! The staff were friendly and polite. The food was straightforward, yet sufficient, and the service was outstanding. The lack of many European tourists was a nice touch!

We had a frustrating experience during our stay here. Upon arriving at our room at 8pm, we found the door was broken and the bathroom was completely flooded. It seems there were no other rooms available, so the bathroom was unusable and the noise from the pool made it impossible to get a good night's sleep. The only solution offered was to wait until the following afternoon when someone might be able to fix the issues. The manager wasn’t helpful; we were simply told there were no alternatives. By that time, it was already 10pm. Additionally, the room was infested with lizards and bugs, which we hadn’t encountered at any other hotel in Sri Lanka. All in all, I wouldn’t recommend staying here. It feels very run down, the service is lacking, and it has unfortunately marred the end of what was otherwise a wonderful trip.

Our December holidays at Koggala Beach Cabanas were fantastic. The place was spotless and hygienic, plus the staff was very friendly. We enjoyed a relaxing spa experience that incorporated local ayurveda. We would definitely suggest it to both local and international guests.
