My experience was very disappointing. The doctor didn’t arrive on time, and the staff failed to give adequate attention to patients. Consultation schedules were poorly managed, and there was a lack of follow-up or clear communication. Patients were left waiting without any proper updates. The management at Ninewella hospital really needs to address these issues to enhance patient care and service.

I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to Dr. Nalindra Rodrigo ❤️. I can't find the words to fully express my appreciation for saving both my life and my baby boy’s life. When my own gynaecologist was unavailable during my emergency, he sent Dr. Nalindra to assist me. I had no idea at that moment that he would be the one to rescue us. Upon examining me, Dr. Nalindra quickly recognized how serious my condition was and took immediate action. I was taken into emergency surgery that lasted almost three hours. Thanks to his skill, swift decisions, and dedication, both my child and I made it through this critical situation. I will forever be thankful for his timely intervention, professionalism, and the compassion he showed us during those frightening moments. Thank you, Dr. Nalindra, for giving my baby and me a second chance at life. You will always be our guardian angel, and we will never forget your incredible support for our family. I highly recommend this place! Yes, you may have to wait a long time because the doctor is handling multiple responsibilities. Thanks to him, my baby is still alive, and I respect him immensely, almost like a god.

I had a routine delivery last year, but due to his negligence, my baby developed BPI (Erb's palsy). This year, my baby required nerve transfer surgery. I cannot recommend him.

The staff here is quite irresponsible, and even the support staff has been deceptive with patients. I've had to wait over four hours during each visit. I can't recommend this place at all.

I want to share my worries about the care I received during my baby's delivery under your supervision on April 18, 2023. Unfortunately, it seems there was a lack of attentiveness or caution during the process, resulting in my baby suffering from Brachial Plexus Injury (Erb’s Palsy). As a parent, it’s devastating to watch my child go through this condition, which might have been avoidable with more careful management of the delivery. While I recognize that complications can happen, I feel that more diligence and adherence to best practices could have prevented this outcome.

My experience with Dr. Nalinda Rodrigo was one of the most unprofessional and disrespectful medical encounters I’ve ever had. Regrettably, I didn’t check the reviews before making an appointment. I scheduled a visit on May 6th for May 7th at 6:30 PM and paid LKR 5,300, which was supposed to cover the consultation and necessary scans/tests. On the day of the appointment, the doctor’s secretary called to inform us that the doctor would be late and suggested we come to his residence instead, asking for an additional fee for the scans. We declined, as the hospital was closer and we had already paid for a package that included everything. What followed was completely unacceptable. The appointment was initially moved from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM, and then we were asked to arrive at the hospital by 8:00 PM. We got there at 7:45 PM and ended up waiting over three hours without any proper communication, apologies, or consideration for our time. Around 9:30 PM, the secretary started calling patients in one by one just to collect details, after which everyone was sent back out to wait indefinitely. By 11:00 PM, after sitting there for hours with no news on whether the doctor would even show up, we went into the room ourselves to ask what was going on, only to find the secretary and a nurse asleep, with the nurse lying on the patient’s bed in her shoes. When we inquired about the doctor’s arrival, the secretary simply wrote down the doctor's number on a piece of paper and told us to call him ourselves. The level of incompetence and disrespect towards patients is beyond unacceptable. We left the hospital and later received an automated message indicating the doctor arrived at midnight, nearly four hours after our scheduled appointment. Patients should not be left waiting endlessly without any communication or accountability. Some of the patients there included pregnant women and families in need of urgent care, yet no one seemed to care. This experience demonstrated a shocking lack of professionalism, organization, accountability, and basic human decency. If this is the standard of care being provided, it is incredibly disappointing. I would absolutely NOT recommend this doctor to anyone.
