I recently had a visit to Amaya Channeling Center and found it to be a pleasant surprise. In contrast to the typical experience with medical services in Sri Lanka, the staff here were remarkably kind and welcoming. The service was prompt, and the pricing was fair. I highly recommend this place to anyone in need of medical care in a friendly atmosphere!

This place used to be excellent and clean, but it has deteriorated significantly over time! It’s clearly not being maintained. We had an appointment after 6 PM, and the establishment was poorly lit. It felt dark and dreary, and we even had to ask the receptionist to turn on one of the fans. While the fan at the reception was running, we, the paying patients, had to request that only one fan be switched on.

This is the most disappointing channeling center I've ever been to. There’s no way to schedule an appointment with a doctor online or by phone. I attempted to book an appointment with Dr. Pathum Dissanyaka over the span of a month but was unsuccessful.

I had been using the online system to schedule my baby's pediatrician appointments before, but when I checked this morning, it was unavailable. When I called, they instructed me to call again tomorrow at 6:00 a.m. to book an appointment for 9:30 a.m. the same day. What’s really frustrating is that the online system indicated that numerous appointments had already been filled throughout the day. It leads me to question if those slots are being allocated through other methods instead of the online platform. I attempted to reach out about 15 times, but not once did anyone pick up the phone. 😤 I honestly can’t comprehend why some top pediatricians choose to work at a place that offers such a frustrating patient experience. These excellent doctors deserve better support, and parents need much more reliable service.

I had a 5:30 PM appointment, but my number wasn't called until around 7:25 PM. Waiting almost two hours while supporting a sick family member is simply unacceptable. We don’t visit hospitals for fun; we go there for urgent medical care, often in stressful situations. The queue management is also a hassle. The digital screens fail to clearly show the current number being called, which means patients have to keep asking the nurses, who are already stretched thin. This leads to unnecessary confusion and anxiety. The hospital feels overcrowded and poorly organized. Unfortunately, it seems not much has changed since my visits over a decade ago as a child. Patient comfort and well-being should come first, yet the atmosphere feels outdated and unpleasant. What frustrates me the most is the impression that revenue is valued more than patient care. Does this place only care about money? Because that’s how it seems from a patient’s viewpoint. Patients are expected to pay hefty sums, yet basic aspects like reasonable waiting times, clear queue information, and a comfortable environment appear to be overlooked. I sincerely hope management takes these issues seriously and works on improving appointment scheduling, queue displays, and the overall experience for patients.

This was one of the worst channeling centers I've ever encountered. Initially, I was told a doctor would arrive at 2 PM, but shortly after, I received a call saying he would actually come around 3:30 PM. On the day of the appointment, I arrived at 3:30 PM, only to find out the doctor had already left. When I inquired at the front desk, they informed me that the doctor had come at 2 PM without notifying me. They mentioned that this is just how things go. I'm really disappointed and will never return to the Bladdy Amaya Channeling Center.

My experience at this channeling center was relatively good compared to other reviews. Scheduling my appointment over the phone and handling payments went smoothly. My main issue was that the nurses occasionally vanished, leaving no one to assist during those moments. On the positive side, you do get to consult with highly qualified doctors here.

The service at Amaya Medical Consultation Centre was decent, though I found the waiting time to be somewhat lengthy. The consultation itself was adequate, but it could have offered more depth. All in all, it was a pretty average experience.
