    Declining service despite great beach

A few years back, this place had solid ratings. Unfortunately, it has now become one of the worst hotels in terms of service. I encountered issues like water disconnection, malfunctioning room equipment, and unprofessional staff, among other problems. I've visited here many times, but my last experience was a complete disaster. The only redeeming feature is the beautiful beach, which they aren't taking full advantage of. I likely won't be returning for another stay.

Room issues but good overall experience

I had reserved a room that included breakfast and dinner. Upon checking in, I noticed that the room hadn't been cleaned properly underneath, the balcony looked worn out, and both the shower and faucet had rust on them. I also asked for additional water bottles since they only provided a limited amount.

    Improved Stay at the Hotel

This is our second time staying at your hotel, with the first visit being last August. I want to highlight how much the hotel room conditions and services have improved since then. We are now following up to inquire about your progress in this area. We hope to see even more benefits and services for customers in the future. Wishing you all the best!

    Poor Management Despite Good Venue

We reserved space for over 35 guests and received our rooms after 3:30 PM, but were charged around noon at check-in. Towels were not provided, and when I requested a water bottle, they informed me that the reception was closed. The management is really lacking, and the service from the hotel staff was disappointing.

    Not Worth the Four Stars

I can't see how this place qualifies as a four-star hotel. It's simply not true. The Sri Lankan Tourism Board should really take note of establishments like this that charge excessively compared to what they actually provide. To me, it's a complete scam, and I'm quite unhappy with my experience. I booked a single room, but I had trouble getting the door to lock properly. They only gave me one small towel for my two-night stay, and the shampoo and body wash containers had no labels or expiry dates. The bed linens and towel had brown stains on them. Maintenance here is very poor. The common ladies' restroom had a leaking faucet, and the pool water looked like it hadn't been changed in ages. I wasn't willing to risk getting into a pool with such dirty water. When you enter the hotel, security guards are stationed at the gate, but there's no one to help with your luggage, and locating the hotel lobby is a challenge. Plus, there are no working elevators or escalators. There are far too many negatives to count. Be cautious and think twice before spending your money here; this hotel claims to be four stars, but it feels more like a two-star establishment at best.

    Great location but needs maintenance

The hotel's location is fantastic, featuring a spacious room with a stunning beach view. The ceiling fans were effective, making air-conditioning unnecessary for my stay. Additionally, the room rate was quite reasonable, which is certainly a plus. That said, the property does require some significant maintenance. The curtains wouldn't close properly and kept falling down, and the door lacked a proper lock. It seems like many of the room doors are in need of repair or replacement. Overall, the hotel would greatly benefit from regular upkeep, as there are numerous minor issues that need addressing. Furthermore, the advertised star rating feels unrealistic given the current state of the rooms, and a renovation would really elevate the property. On a positive note, the staff were genuinely helpful and friendly — I had no complaints regarding their service. I would definitely recommend this hotel if they manage to resolve the room issues in the future, as the location and potential are truly remarkable.

    Great Relaxation Spot

This is a wonderful place to unwind and take a break from the daily grind! The reception team did an excellent job, and the service was very good. They offer parking, billiards, a pool, and a baby pool, plus a private beach. I couldn't ask for more. They have both a set menu and a buffet available. Just make sure to check the buffet options before deciding, as the set menu is also a good choice.

    Disappointing hotel experience

This was the worst experience I've had at a hotel. We reserved five rooms, and each one had issues. The air conditioning didn’t cool any of the rooms, so we had to run the fan along with it. In some of the bathrooms, cleanliness was lacking. We expect basic privacy in a room, but the torn curtains allowed visibility from the swimming pool into our rooms, which is absurd. I filed a complaint, but no action was taken. To top it off, on our last day, the door locks also malfunctioned. We found ourselves needing to ask for toiletries, and the hair dryer wasn’t working either. Honestly, I can’t even rate this hotel. I left feeling very disappointed.

    Great service and comfortable rooms

The reception team did an excellent job. The service was really good, and they offer convenient parking. There are billiards, a pool, and a baby pool, along with a private beach—truly, I couldn't ask for more. My room was very comfortable and featured a lovely balcony with a view of the sea and the pool. They provide both a set menu and a buffet.

    Nice stay but needs improvements

Overall, it was a pleasant place, but there are several areas that need enhancement. The rooms were tidy, and the necessary supplies were available. A major concern was that many of the staff members seemed inexperienced and struggled to manage the demands. The buffet food left much to be desired, lacking variety, and the desserts were particularly disappointing. On the plus side, the pool was enjoyable, and the view of the sunrise was stunning.
