We had a wonderful experience. The team was incredibly helpful, assisting us with transportation and trip arrangements, and the food was delicious. It's situated in a fantastic location right by the beach, offering breathtaking sunrises and sunsets. I would absolutely love to return ❤️

We stayed for three nights in August 2025. The hotel is ideally situated right on the beach, providing a peaceful atmosphere while still being near restaurants. The staff is lovely, always smiling and ready to help. Their laundry service is excellent; they cleaned 12 kg of clothes and returned them the next day at a very reasonable price. The food is tasty, and the fresh fruit cocktails are great. While table service can be a bit slow, this seems typical for Trincomalee. The rooms are basic but tidy, equipped with good air conditioning and bathrooms. Overall, it offers great value for money.

Absolutely wonderful! The hotel restaurant went beyond our expectations. The service was friendly, the ambiance charming, and each dish was a standout – elegantly crafted, inventive, and bursting with flavor. It was a genuinely delightful experience. We will surely return!

I highly recommend this place! Our stay was fantastic, offering everything we needed. The rooms come equipped with AC and hot water. It's situated right on a beautiful, tranquil beach with a calm ocean. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. Plus, the Sri Lankan breakfast was large and delicious.

I just spent five nights at this amazing hotel. Our room was lovely, cool, and clean, situated right by the beach. Riz and his staff gave us a very warm welcome, creating an atmosphere that was both comfortable and relaxed—truly infectious. We really enjoyed our time here. There are sun loungers with shade just outside, and while the on-site restaurant is good, it’s not the most affordable option for meals. The breakfasts and juices were decent. The only drawback was the unreliable internet coverage, which they know about and are working to fix. I would definitely recommend staying here.

I had a very disappointing experience. We made a reservation in November but couldn't travel due to the situation in the country. We reached out to the hotel ahead of time to request a postponement of our booking to a later date, not a refund. Initially, we were told that the issue would be sorted out later. However, after following up, our rescheduling request was denied, and we were told to make a new booking with full payment once again. Additionally, the phone conversation was handled poorly. The representative was rude and dismissive, which made the situation even more frustrating. This isn't the standard of service one would expect from a professional hotel. In summary, this experience highlights a lack of customer service and empathy. I cannot recommend this hotel.

The location is ideal, right by the beach, and the rooms are both clean and spacious. The staff members were generally helpful, but the restaurant was overpriced with food that didn't meet expectations. Unfortunately, my experience with the manager was quite negative. During our first visit to Sri Lanka, I requested a few extra hours for checkout at an otherwise empty hotel. While I understand the denial of my request, the manager's rude demeanor was uncalled for. He suggested we use the public washroom and open shower meant for staff, which was quite uncomfortable. Additionally, the fees for extending our stay were excessively high. This incident cast a shadow over the otherwise warm hospitality we found throughout Sri Lanka.

This restaurant is fantastic. The meals were both generous in portion and tasty. I found the beach front lounges to be quite relaxing. The owner was very welcoming, and our host Elliot was wonderful, attending to all our needs. Although we only stayed for two nights, it was definitely a highlight of our trip.

We had an amazing experience at Golden Beach! The view is unbeatable - we particularly loved watching the sunrise from our deck. The rooms were cool and cozy, and the beachside restaurant along with the lounge chairs made it an ideal spot for a day of relaxation. The staff were very helpful and professional, even when faced with some unpleasant behavior from other guests. I suspect that some previous reviews are more about rude patrons being inconsiderate rather than a fair assessment of the staff or the facilities. We would definitely love to return for another stay!

Fantastic value for what you pay! Located right on the beach, the place has A/C, and both the owner and manager were extremely helpful and communicated effectively with us. We were in room C1, which was a spacious and clean room on the second floor offering an ocean view. There were smaller options available as well…
