Eye surgeon visit

I visited an eye surgeon with an appointment in the hospital. Dr v. shivanthan. He only spent like 5-10min for the consultation. And asked to visit and meet another doctor for more details and told he couldnt even work on this condition eye sugery. And i was thinking about the whole time and money i spent just for that few minutes to get directed fo another doctor. So frustationg with the experience. I have seen many polite doctors with patients and with no rush to take the next in. But not expected this. Hope doctors need to respect what patients are trying to expalin first Hope this saves the money and time of someone else by thinking twice before channelling.

Good experience with minor issues

I went for a doctor appointment and found ample parking available. The staff were welcoming and friendly. The pharmacy stocked all the prescribed medications. There was a cafe offering snacks and meals, although we didn’t sample anything there. The waiting area lacked air conditioning, but it wasn't a significant issue for me. However, the restroom situation could be improved, as there’s only one for men and two for women. Overall, it was a satisfactory experience.

Excellent care at Kandy Suwasewana

We recently took my mother-in-law to Kandy Suwasewana Hospital for her thyroid surgery. Our visit was this past Sunday, and I must say the service was outstanding. The doctors and nurses provided exceptional care throughout her stay, and the operation went off without a hitch. The hospital room and bathrooms were spotless and well-kept. The staff were friendly, compassionate, and consistently attentive to the needs of the patients. The food was good as well. Overall, we left with a very positive impression, and I sincerely appreciate their remarkable service and commitment. I highly recommend this hospital!

Poor treatment of emergency patients

The handling of emergency cases here is extremely inadequate, and there’s a lack of proper communication with families. After multiple attempts, the doctor arrived but didn’t thoroughly examine the patient before hastily transferring them to a government hospital. While doctors are often seen as a second god for humans, it feels like some of them only care about money and disregard patients' emotions. This doesn’t apply to all doctors, but it is concerning that it happens at all.

Disappointing Service at Suwasewana Hospital

I had a very disappointing experience at Suwasewana Hospital in Kandy. The service reminded me of a government hospital, lacking speed and efficiency. Some nurses were quite lazy and displayed minimal urgency or concern for patients. The overall standard of care and professionalism fell short of my expectations for a private hospital. Management needs to seriously address staff attitudes to enhance patient care quality.

Terrible experience at this hospital

This place is a complete nightmare. The staff is incredibly unfriendly, treating you as if you owe them for being here. The rooms are extremely unhygienic, filled with dust and unpleasant odors. It seems like they haven't been cleaned in ages; check out my photos for evidence. I brought my dad here, and now he's being treated for an infection. Honestly, you would be better off going to a state hospital instead of wasting your money here.

Disorganized Experience at Suwasewana

I cannot recommend Suwasewana Eye Clinic after our latest visit. My father had cataract lens surgery on June 18, and despite being told to arrive at noon, the entire experience was chaotic. We were offered a package for Rs. 145,000, but instead of making a single payment, we had to go to various counters and pay in stages. Patients who had already had surgery, those waiting for it, and their family members were all crammed into the same main hall. After the surgery, we waited almost two hours just to make the final payment and retrieve the patient’s file. To get the file, we were instructed to bring the receipt into the theatre area, which I found inappropriate regarding safety and privacy. This is especially disappointing because my family has been coming to Suwasewana for years; several relatives, including my grandmother, have been treated here before. However, this recent experience has fallen far short of our expectations, leading us to decide against future visits. While the medical treatment was successful, the customer service, communication, and administrative processes need considerable improvement. Overall, the experience felt more disorganized than I would expect from a private healthcare facility.

I've had a negative experience at this hospital in the past, so I highly suggest that families review the facilities and services before bringing a loved one in. It's crucial to pay attention to: • ❄️ Air conditioning • 🚿 Hot water availability • ☎️ Intercom systems • 👩‍⚕️ Nurse and attendant support Make sure these amenities are actually in place and that the staff meets your care expectations. Interestingly, I've noticed that room rates seem to fluctuate weekly, while regrettably, the service quality appears to be declining. Just comparing our stays in Room 1101 and Room 1306 tells a striking tale. 😆 I sincerely hope management takes this feedback to heart and works on enhancing the facilities and, most importantly, the care quality for patients and their families. Be sure to inspect everything thoroughly before admitting your loved one.

Impressive Upgrades with Parking Issues

I recently went to Suwasevana Hospital and was very impressed by their updated infrastructure and facilities. The hospital now has a modern, clean, and well-organized feel. The medical equipment and patient areas are of high quality. The only drawback is the parking situation. There simply isn't enough space for the volume of patients, making it quite stressful to find a spot, particularly during busy times. Overall, the healthcare and facilities are excellent, but they definitely need to improve their parking situation!
