Disappointing and Unsafe Experience

I had an extremely unpleasant experience that felt very unsafe. Just a day before my planned lesson, I opted to change my plans after discovering that their price for a group lesson was the same as a private lesson offered by another surf school. Why wouldn't I choose the better deal? Unfortunately, they responded with racist messages, harassment, and name-calling. I found this shocking, especially since I had always thought of Sri Lankans as kind people. As a young female traveler, this was one of the worst encounters I've ever had. I cannot recommend this place.

Outstanding Surf Instruction at Ocean Surf

Kiyas is the best surf instructor you can find in Arugam Bay. I’ve tried a few other surf teachers before, but they only pushed me onto the waves with no real guidance. With Kiyas, I truly learned how to surf and now I feel confident going out on my own. I can’t emphasize enough how wonderful and caring they are. The vibe is fantastic—it's just a fun, safe, and amazing experience. I highly recommend Ocean Surf! 🔥❤️

Fantastic Surfing Experience with Kiyas

Ocean Surf greatly enhanced my time in Arugam Bay, and Kiyas, my instructor, was a big part of that. Every day, I eagerly anticipated surfing thanks to Kiyas. His incredible energy truly brightens your day! He’s always there cheering you on when you catch a wave, and when you wipe out, he’s quick to lift your spirits and offer helpful advice. Many instructors in Arugam Bay tend to just push you into the waves without really teaching you the techniques, but I chose Ocean Surf because I genuinely wanted to learn. Kiyas was dedicated to teaching me and ensuring my success. By the end of my stay, I was able to surf on my own, and I can't thank Kiyas and Ocean Surf enough! Not only did he teach me how to surf, but he made the experience enjoyable too! If you're in search of an instructor who genuinely cares and has fantastic energy, look no further than Ocean Surf!

Great service and affordable prices
