Disappointing Experience at Barista

I went in with high hopes, ordering the barista blast and a cookie shake, both priced at around 1500, plus a service charge of nearly 300. Unfortunately, both drinks were disappointing; the barista blast tasted like plain milk coffee, while the cookie shake was similar but included subpar cookie pieces that weren't even enjoyable. Paying 1500 for this felt like a waste of money. Although the staff was polite, they didn’t seem to take their work seriously, spending time goofing off before preparing our order. I noticed them messing around with ice on the floor, which made them appear inexperienced. Additionally, the comfortable sofas were missing. This place isn't the same barista I remembered, which used to offer fantastic coffee and a wonderful atmosphere. I'm really let down.

Great coffee and friendly staff

We really enjoy this place since we live nearby. The coffee is excellent, and the staff is always accommodating. As regulars, we would love it if the sandwiches were a bit more budget-friendly. We visit almost every day for coffee and to work in a calm environment. On Sundays, we like to come by to read the Sunday paper along with our coffee, but today we only had coffee, no paper 🙂.

Great Relaxing Spot with Friends

This is a wonderful place to unwind with friends, and I highly recommend it. Sandwich Portion: While the sandwich may seem a bit small for a main meal, adding a side like a small salad or chips could improve the experience. Rice Dish Appeal: The rice and curry dish looks good, but a slightly larger portion of curry would help balance it with the rice. Lighting & Atmosphere: The table arrangement is tidy, but the lighting is a little too dim, which might impact the overall ambiance.

Friendly barista but slow service

The barista at the Mount Lavinia location was very friendly, and I found the coffee to be quite good. On the downside, the service was noticeably slow, as it took far longer than I anticipated for my coffee to arrive. Additionally, I was let down by the absence of outdoor seating or a pleasant outdoor area. It would really enhance the experience if there were a cozy spot for customers to enjoy their coffee, especially considering the location. I hope management can work on speeding up service and think about improving the seating options for customers in the future.
