Disrespectful treatment of differently abled

The staff member was extremely rude. They treated differently abled individuals with a lack of care and respect. I definitely wouldn't recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful environment and respectful treatment.

Exceptional Healing at Nanda Sri Hatha Yoga

I went to Nanda Sri Hatha Yoga Institute after experiencing a serious lower back injury due to poor guidance from a careless yoga instructor in India. Guru and his team, including his daughter Miulangi Siriwardene, completely healed me within six months. They took the time to understand my injury and customized each session for a safe recovery, continually adjusting the plan as I made progress. The instructors are extremely knowledgeable, providing clear instructions on proper alignment and techniques. What really impressed me was their structured approach to rehabilitation, with each session building on the previous one. Now, my strength and flexibility have improved greatly, and I no longer feel any pain. Even now, whenever I face any injury, regardless of how minor, this is the place I trust for recovery. The atmosphere is calm and supportive, creating an ideal setting for healing. I highly recommend Nanda Sri Hatha Yoga Institute to anyone looking for expert care and a disciplined approach to yoga and injury recovery.

Exceptional Yoga Therapy in Colombo

Rude Teacher Negatively Affects Experience

Mr. Nanda, the old teacher, has a reputation for being quite rude. Despite his supposed expertise in yoga, he lacks the ability to treat others with respect. During my short time there, I noticed he displays jealousy and arrogance, especially when beginners outperform his senior students, often responding with rudeness. As a beginner, I don’t seek his approval, but everyone deserves dignity. Mistakes from his senior students are excused, while any small error from a beginner is met with harsh orders. He often makes sarcastic remarks, implying that students should already understand the language. It’s disheartening to see that even high-profile individuals avoid his sessions, opting instead for his daughter’s or Mr. Niroshan's classes, where the atmosphere is much kinder and respectful. Both of them genuinely embody the calmness expected of yoga instructors. Mr. Nanda, however, lacks warmth and fails to create an inviting class environment. His demeanor can make newcomers feel unwelcome, and he seems suspicious of anyone who performs well. I also witnessed him making light of a woman who left for the washroom, which was uncalled for. Even the card marker often advises him to hold back his comments. Ultimately, I decided to leave and join another class, still practicing the yoga I learned from Mr. Niroshan, who is humble and polite in his approach. I appreciate his teaching style greatly.
