    Delicious seafood and dessert

    The food was outstanding; I highly recommend the fish and prawns. And those bananas with vanilla ice cream were just heavenly. It's a tranquil spot as well.

    Perfect evening by the shoreline

    The ingredients are fresh and beautifully prepared with skill. Portions are generous, and the service from the owner/chef and his team is both attentive and friendly. The restaurant itself is clean and boasts an incredible location right on the shoreline. It made for a flawless evening.

    Best Dining Experience in Sri Lanka

    This restaurant is truly the best I've experienced in all of Sri Lanka in terms of food. The prawns were delicious, and the banana dessert was equally delightful. I highly recommend it if you're in the area or even nearby.

    A spontaneous dinner at Cactus Lounge became our top meal in Sri Lanka! We got there just after sunset, and the atmosphere is stunning! Tucked away on a private beach next to the main road, it can be tricky to locate if you're not actively searching for it.

    This place is a special, unique discovery and a memorable travel experience. It's super casual with a small but very fresh menu and outstanding service. The owner is incredibly kind and accommodating to my family and young kids. Don't miss the garlic prawns—they're a must-have!

    During the off-season when many places in Tangalle shut their doors, we were thrilled to find Cactus Lounge still welcoming diners. The food was fresh and tasty, featuring grilled shrimp and calamari among other offerings. The portions were generous and beautifully presented. The service was both efficient and friendly, enhancing our experience.

    This restaurant is truly outstanding. Following the owner's advice, we chose the fresh catch of the day, along with grilled fish and grilled king prawns, all accompanied by rice and salad—a generous and tasty meal! Plus, the bay view was remarkable. Highly recommended!

    Fantastic food and friendly service!
