We were fortunate to discover this Traditional Cooking class. Shashini effortlessly prepared a variety of authentic dishes. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was fantastic, and Shashini's family made our experience truly unforgettable.

I had an amazing cooking class! Unlike others in central Tangalle, this one offered a more personal and genuine vibe instead of being overcrowded. Although the location is a bit further out, it was serene and picturesque - spending the evening with her felt truly special, as if I was being welcomed into her family home. The food was absolutely delicious, and I gained a lot of insight into Sri Lankan cuisine, plus we had a wonderful conversation. Her husband kindly drove me back home afterward. I highly recommend this experience, especially for solo travelers!

If you're in Tangalle and seeking a truly genuine experience, I highly recommend this family cooking class. The food was a solid 10/10, with each dish overflowing with amazing flavor. What made it even more unique was the preparation: they used homemade spices (some of which came straight from their garden), hand-grated fresh coconut, and coconut milk sourced directly from trees on their property. Everything was cooked using traditional methods, highlighting the richness of the flavors. Beyond the culinary aspect, the whole experience felt authentic. The family was incredibly kind, warm, and welcoming, and they went above and beyond to share useful local insights with us. If you want something personal, authentic, and utterly delicious, this is an essential experience in Tangalle. Highly recommended!
