Disappointing service at Vision Care
I had a really disappointing experience at the Kitribathgoda branch of Vision Care. Two years ago, I bought my son's spectacles from there – a decent quality pair that came with a warranty, and we paid a considerable amount for them. Recently, one of the arms broke without warning. We brought it back to Vision Care, and they initially told us it could be fixed. They also mentioned the option of buying a new pair, but didn’t offer any discount or consideration for us as customers. Given how much we had already spent, we opted for the repair. After making us wait for 10 days, they called to inform us that the spectacles couldn’t be repaired, leaving us with no other options. This was incredibly frustrating. My son had to manage without his glasses, which also meant extra transport costs while we waited. If they had been upfront about the impossibility of the repair, we could have made a decision right away instead of wasting precious time. To make things worse, when we went to another optical shop in town, they were able to fix the problem quickly, at a much lower cost, and within just two working days. This really highlights how poorly Vision Care handles their customers – wasting time, providing no solutions, and showing no regard for customer needs. We will not be returning to Vision Care again.
