    Frustrating experience with security staff

The security staff at the gate were extremely unprofessional and wasted our time. They falsely informed us that the pharmacy was closed on Saturdays, which led us to leave without our medicine. When we attempted to call multiple times to find out accurate information, the phone operators could only say that no one was answering the relevant extension. I can only imagine how many innocent patients rely on public transport from far away and get misled. The security team should stop lying and make a genuine effort to assist people! I will definitely be filing a formal complaint against the security staff from that day.

    Disappointing dental experience

On February 5, 2016, my wife went for her veneer appointment in room 14 on the fourth floor. Unfortunately, the doctor seemed indifferent to her needs and didn't show any care for the work being done. It's clear that these professionals require better education and training, as they operate at a skill level akin to that found in very low-income countries. The doctor lacked the ability to make patients feel welcome and comfortable. Despite receiving free education and resources, it seems they're not utilizing them appropriately. She rushed through the procedure without dedicating the necessary time for a proper, clean, and correct job. I genuinely believe she should reconsider her role as a doctor, as her treatment of patients felt more adversarial than compassionate.

    Cool place with registration requirements

Overall, it's a nice spot. When I visited, I learned that patients must obtain a special reference letter from a related doctor to register here. Newcomers also need to bring a file or book. The place is clean and tranquil, plus it has a good secure car park.

    Great kidney hospital in Colombo

This is the sole hospital in Colombo city specifically focused on kidney diseases. Despite their limited facilities, they offer good service, though it can be quite time-consuming. As a government institution, they provide all health services and medications at no cost.

Exceptional care at a government hospital

The National Institute for Nephrology, Dialysis & Transplantation stands out as one of the finest government hospitals I've ever been to. From the friendly security personnel at the entrance to the attentive doctors and nurses, the atmosphere is welcoming and caring. The facility is consistently clean and well-organized. I want to extend my gratitude to the staff on the 3rd floor — the nurses and doctors there are remarkably compassionate, kind, and professional. They treat every patient with utmost respect, understanding, and humanity. Other government hospitals could learn a lot from this place about how to fulfill their responsibilities effectively. In many hospitals, staff members often lack basic politeness towards patients, but here, everyone delivers service with authentic kindness, respect, and a smile. With outstanding service, a caring team, and a spotless environment — I highly recommend this hospital! (This is the only government hospital I have rated 5 stars.)

    Rude Service from Pharmacist

The pharmacist on the first floor in the kidney ward, a Muslim girl, lacks basic manners when speaking to patients. She talks as if she is providing us with free services out of her own pocket. It's important to remind her to treat patients with more politeness.
