This private hospital in Puttalam deserves praise for prioritizing service over profit. They offer free or low-cost cataract surgeries to individuals from all ethnic backgrounds throughout the island.

This hospital offers some of the best service around. It truly caters to those in need and is located in a serene and tranquil environment. The doctors are highly esteemed, and the staff is very caring.

My father had eye surgery at Kuwait Hospital in Puttalam, and it has been a nightmare. They charged a hefty fee but used a poor-quality, inexpensive lens, resulting in serious complications. His vision has deteriorated each day, and he can no longer see. This level of carelessness and unprofessionalism is unacceptable. I cannot recommend this hospital to anyone looking for dependable treatment.

We had my father's cataract surgery here, and it was a fantastic experience. Everything went smoothly and was well organized from beginning to end. The staff treated him as if he were their own parent, which provided us with great comfort. I want to extend a special thanks to the young ladies at the registration desk for their kindness and assistance. We are truly grateful for the doctor and the entire team – highly recommended!

This facility was established with the Zakath fund from the government of Kuwait. They provide free eye treatments, including lens replacements, for the underprivileged, regardless of their religion. Additionally, they organize free eye camps in remote areas and arrange for operations and treatments, complete with accommodation. For a nominal fee of LKR 100, they also have an OPD service staffed by MBBS doctors, offering all necessary medications at no cost. Located within a 2 km radius of Puttalam town, this service is incredibly beneficial for local villagers. However, the area can get quite hot, and more trees should be planted for shade. There's a canteen that serves food at reasonable prices, but patients receive meals for free. A generator is on-site to ensure that operations can continue without disruption. To sustain these services, a stronger managerial structure is needed, and the maintenance of the facility could use more attention. I truly commend the efforts of this charitable organization, which is government-approved and staffed by qualified doctors.
