Exceptional Care at Asiri Hospital

I had a minor surgery on March 17, 2026, at Asiri Hospital to remove an ingrown toenail. Three days later, I returned with my husband to have the dressing changed on my toe. What really stood out to me was the kindness of the nurses. When we arrived, another patient came in with a staff member, and she mentioned that the patient also worked in the lab at Asiri. Shortly after, a foreigner was brought in, and the person accompanying him wanted to admit him first. The other women wanted to prioritize him as a staff member, but since we had been there first, we waited for a while before they arrived. The humility of the doctors and nurses was remarkable. They took me in because I arrived early, despite my nervousness about leaving my two babies with my mother while my husband was scheduled to travel abroad in two days. I expected them to be more accommodating to the staff and admitted patients, but they remained dedicated to their duties. A huge thank you to Professor M.B. Samarawickrama and the staff at Asiri Hospital for their outstanding service. I wish I had asked the nurses' names to acknowledge them here.

Great care at Asiri Galle Hospital

I recently had a very positive experience at Asiri Galle Hospital during my stay. The atmosphere was clean and comfortable, and the staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely caring throughout my time there. I want to specifically thank Mr. Nimsara, the Surgery Coordinator, for his exceptional support from beginning to end. He was incredibly helpful during my stay and even went the extra mile after my discharge by arranging additional documents for my insurance. I truly value his commitment and effort. The entire team, including the doctors, ETU team, nursing staff, catering service, cleaning crew, laboratory staff, and pharmacy personnel, were all excellent and supportive. One minor area for improvement would be the communication between the consultant doctors and the in-house medical officers, particularly regarding treatment instructions communicated over the phone. Enhancing this aspect could elevate the service even further. Overall, I am very pleased with the care I received and would certainly recommend Asiri Galle Hospital.

Severe Prescription Error at Hospital Pharmacy

I am completely disappointed. The pharmacy at Asiri Hospital Galle made a serious mistake by misinterpreting a cardiologist’s prescription. The doctor had ordered a 2-month combined cardiac treatment, but the staff misread the shorthand and only provided a 2-week supply of one crucial medication. As a result, a heart patient was under-medicated for a month and a half until a second specialist identified the error. This kind of negligence regarding cardiovascular prescriptions is completely unacceptable and dangerous. Management needs to implement strict verification processes immediately to avoid life-threatening mistakes.
