I had a truly satisfying lunch. The yellow rice was aromatic, and every dish was bursting with flavor. The dhal curry, potato tempered, beans curry, chicken curry, crispy papadam, and spicy dry chili all complemented one another beautifully. It was a delicious and well-balanced meal. I highly recommend it. Thank you, Chef Thariq and the team. ❤️❤️❤️

This place is definitely one of the most overrated restaurants around. The normal chicken koththu just doesn't suffice for one person, as the portion size is quite small. The taste is average, but it's overpriced. On the other hand, the butter chicken with naan roti was somewhat decent. I really wish they would increase their portion sizes for meals.

Don't be fooled by the appearance and photos. This place struggles to cater to customers. Most drinks on the menu were out of stock, with the exception of soft drinks. They didn’t even have coffee! We were informed that our order would only be processed after the previous one was completed, meaning they can handle only one order at a time. We drove 25 kilometers out of our way to reach here on our journey to Yala. The bright spot was the food, which, despite the wait, was absolutely delicious.

The flavors were truly authentic - we really enjoyed the shawarma wraps. It took a bit of time, but it was definitely worth the wait for something fresh and delicious. The atmosphere inside was very calming and pleasant. Plus, there's a stunning view of the lake just outside. In my opinion, this place is absolutely a hidden gem!

While driving from Kirinda to Tangalle, we were in search of a good coffee and meal, and this place turned out to be just what we needed. We enjoyed a couple of hot lattes along with some chicken fried rice, both of which were fantastic. As two Canadians on the road, we found this to be a reliable stop.

During my visit to Hambantota, I found it quite challenging to locate halal food, but Clamshell Restaurant turned out to be a wonderful find. Situated approximately 2 km from the town in front of the Salt Fields, the cuisine is tasty, and the staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming. It's a dependable option for Muslim travelers in search of quality halal meals. The only drawback is their late opening time at around 1 pm, so make sure to plan ahead. I highly recommend it! 👍
