This is the most disappointing government hospital I've ever encountered. It really needs to be removed from the influence of regional politicians.

This is a standard government hospital that offers decent facilities. However, the nurses and support staff seem to lack proper training in basic human interaction.

My last visit to this clean hospital left a strong impression on me. You can access various medical services here, including X-ray, ENT, dental care, and blood and urine tests. These are the services available to you.

My daughter was admitted at the Pediatric ward. Doctors, Nurses and minor staff were polite and caring.

This is the best hospital in Kalmunai, but the administration needs to ensure that all staff and workers are more courteous when dealing with patients.

The hospital is not well-maintained, and the level of hospitality is lacking. The staff really needs to work on their communication, approach, and politeness. A significant issue is the insufficient bed space for patients.

I'm writing to share my profound disappointment with the falling standards of service at Ashraf Memorial Hospital in Kalmunai. Unfortunately, the quality has really declined, leaving patients feeling ignored and frustrated. A major concern is the shortage of basic medical supplies. Patients are often asked to buy essential items like plasters for IV cannulation and even common medications from outside. This is especially troubling for those who might struggle to afford these unexpected costs. It’s unacceptable for a government hospital to place such burdens on patients. Moreover, the hospital's facilities appear to be lacking. Recently, when my mother was hospitalized and needed a CRP blood test, we were told to go to a private lab instead. Additionally, during a medical emergency, we couldn't get Gaviscon syrup from the hospital and had to purchase it from a pharmacy. The absence of endoscopy facilities is another significant issue, forcing patients to find these services in private hospitals. The attitude of some doctors has also been concerning. When I asked about my mother's condition, one doctor was dismissive and rude, telling me not to bother him. Such unprofessional behavior is unacceptable and erodes the trust patients have in the healthcare system. It's disheartening to witness a government hospital in Sri Lanka providing such inadequate care. Patients deserve far better. I call on the relevant authorities to look into these problems and take action to enhance the quality of service at Ashraf Memorial Hospital.
