This supposedly reputable private clinic doesn't accept card payments. When I asked the receptionist about this, she mentioned that the bank took the POS machine for repairs and hasn't brought it back. I can't help but wonder which bank that could be?

I arrived at the hospital at 7:15 PM after receiving a call from reception at 7 PM urging me to come as soon as possible for my appointment with Dr. L. Kovoor (ENT Surgeon). I was given token No. 07. Despite more than eight patients being seen, only token No. 4 was officially called in at 8:35 PM. I noticed that only one patient went in to show their report. Just wanted to highlight this.

The punctuality here is extremely poor. We waited three hours for a doctor from 7:30 to 10:30 p.m., and he didn’t arrive until after 10:30. This isn’t just a one-time issue; it has happened multiple times before.

The staff were quite friendly and the space felt larger compared to other hospitals in the area, but management really needs to ensure that the team is equipped with gloves. I noticed many staff members weren't wearing gloves while treating patients. Also, when giving vaccines, it's crucial for patients or their guardians to be made aware of the vaccine details and expiration dates. The wards require more consistent maintenance; I noted that the air conditioning was not functioning properly even at 16°C. Additionally, there's a need for better patient privacy, particularly in maternity care. The way visitors are handled for new mothers and their newborns could be improved, as it poses a risk of infections for the babies.

I was really let down by my recent visit to this hospital. Last month, in October, I went to the OPD. After a long wait, a young doctor who didn’t introduce himself attended to me. He appeared to lack experience and prescribed medication without a thorough examination. When he tried to check my blood pressure, the equipment malfunctioned, and even a backup device didn’t work. The young doctor briefly inquired about my issue and then left to consult with someone, possibly a senior doctor, before the senior doctor finally came in. When I asked the nurse about him, I was informed that he was a ward doctor. Moreover, I noticed that the nurses were not wearing face masks or using sanitizers. Dr. Rizan Jameel, I urge you to evaluate your hospital's staffing and patient care protocols. Patient care should be prioritized over profit.

Our experience at this hospital was quite disappointing. We had scheduled an appointment with the doctor for a consultation. The reception team called us to come in at 3:00 PM, assuring us the doctor would be there at that time. However, even by 4:30 to 4:45 PM, the doctor still hadn’t arrived. When we inquired at the reception for an update, they merely stated that they had informed the doctor, but there was no clear response or acknowledgment of our concerns. Their demeanor felt unprofessional and careless. Additionally, there were many elderly patients who had been waiting for an extended period. The nearly two-hour wait was quite uncomfortable and distressing for them. We expect better punctuality from a private hospital, as people typically choose them for timely and quality service. It would be beneficial for them to enhance their punctuality and patient communication moving forward.

I’m incredibly thankful to Doctor Faiz (VoG) and the amazing staff at Jamil Hospital in Kalmunai. From the start to delivery, they treated us with kindness, care, and respect, making us feel like family. Doctor Faiz isn’t just a skilled doctor; he’s also humble and compassionate. I am truly appreciative of his support and guidance. My heartfelt gratitude goes out to the entire Jamil Hospital team for their outstanding service and complete dedication. Alhamdulillah, with Allah’s blessing, my wife has safely given birth to a beautiful baby girl today.

The management here is seriously lacking, and I left feeling very let down by how things were managed. In particular, the receptionist was dishonest and unprofessional, wasting our time with incorrect information and poor management. Management really needs to focus on the following concerns: - Card payment issues: If you can't accept card payments, please take down the misleading sticker that says you do. When I asked about card payment, the receptionist assured me it was available, then left for 30 minutes. When she finally returned, she took another 10 minutes to process the billing, only to admit after printing the bill that they don’t have card payment or a machine. This is totally unacceptable. - Misleading information over the phone: Patients shouldn’t be given misleading information. I was told over the phone that the doctor was already there, so we rushed to the hospital. In reality, the doctor was just doing his rounds. The receptionist took this opportunity to collect bills, leaving patients waiting. We were told the doctor arrived at 3 p.m., but the OPD session didn’t actually start until 5 p.m. As a result, pregnant mothers and other patients unnecessarily waited for over two hours, some coming from far away due to her misinformation. This was a very frustrating and tiring experience. - Respect and honesty: Patients and visitors deserve to be treated with kindness and honesty. A simple apology isn’t enough when people’s time, health, and trust are being disregarded.

A solid hospital located in Kalmunai. It's one of the top facilities and meets international healthcare standards. The staff is well-trained and approachable. The rooms are spacious and come with all the necessary equipment.
