You can really see Izad's passion for cooking in his dishes. He is also a very kind and welcoming person. We sampled the hummus with aubergine steak and the fish, both of which were amazing. They were beautifully presented and extremely fresh. Izad mentioned he’s opening another restaurant in Trincomalee, and we’ll definitely return just to enjoy his dishes again.

We've visited this place three times, and each experience has been fantastic! It's the best food we've had in Sri Lanka to date! The staff is friendly and welcoming. The dishes are truly delicious. While the cooking can take a little longer since everything is made fresh for each customer, the wait is absolutely worthwhile.

We had an amazing dining experience at La Prince Cafe. The dishes were all made fresh, even down to picking the curry leaves from the tree in the garden. 🙂 The hummus was delicious, and our fish was equally impressive, with the spiciness we requested being just perfect. The real coffee was a wonderful way to finish our meal, and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. We highly recommend dining here.

The food here is absolutely amazing; I couldn't get enough of the hummus, which is the best I've ever tasted. Everything we tried was flavorful and beautifully presented. Being on a tight budget, the fish felt like a special treat and was worth every rupee. I also highly recommend the aubergine steak—I never realized vegetables could taste this good.

Chef Izad has reopened this restaurant after spending time in the Maldives, bringing his unique blend of Sri Lankan and Western flavors. The Hummus is a must-try—it's bursting with flavor, and everything is prepared fresh. The bread and Dahl were also delightful. They offer seafood too, and I can’t wait to return to sample that.

The food was incredibly tasty and top-notch! The staff members were extremely welcoming, clearly passionate about their work. For lunch, we enjoyed avocado toast, hummus, a cappuccino, and banana juice — all of it was excellent! I highly suggest this spot for a nourishing and healthy meal.

We visited during the off season when there were few tourists due to the Iran War and travel restrictions, so the place was quite empty. We were the only guests and received a warm welcome filled with enthusiasm. After a brief overview of the menu, they prepared an amazing dinner just for us, which included Dhal, Roti, Hummus (loaded with garlic, so tasty), and fried noodles with vegetables. Everything was vegan and absolutely delicious, with fantastic spice levels. Thank you for a wonderful evening filled with great food!

The food was genuinely amazing! After spending two months in Sri Lanka, I was thrilled to finally enjoy some really good hummus again. The staff were exceptionally kind and welcoming, making me feel at home as soon as I entered. Even though I was the only guest that night (being low season), the service remained warm and attentive the entire time. They even offered me a few extra samples to try and assisted me with my itinerary for Trincomalee. I would absolutely recommend this place!

This cafe is situated in a peaceful area near the beach. We've been here twice and plan to return many more times. It’s a delightful, relaxing little spot. We initially came for the coffee, which was fantastic, but we also discovered the food is great too. One day, the owner prepared a delicious dahl with hummus dip that we enjoyed thoroughly. On our second visit (after our coffee 😊), we tried a very tasty egg salad with all fresh ingredients. We couldn't resist ordering the dahl and roti to go with it. The owner is always very accommodating and makes you feel at ease and welcome. We’re likely to come back for dinner next time and are really looking forward to it... though we might just have to stop by for coffee earlier in the day 😎. I highly recommend this charming little place! 👍

This is a wonderful place to kick off your day with excellent coffee, a delightful breakfast, or fresh juice. The staff are incredibly kind and considerate. It's definitely a must-visit and probably offers the finest coffee in Trincomalee, with super friendly and attentive service. The atmosphere is charming, with nice music and great people, plus it's fantastic value for a breakfast.
