    Great dining option in Matale

    Finally, there's a quality restaurant in the Matale area! Until now, our only dining choices were KFC and Pizza Hut, but this place is a delightful change. The prices reflect excellent value, and the food quality is impressive. The restaurant maintains a clean and tranquil atmosphere, creating a pleasant vibe. You can even host small parties here. The food is delicious, and don’t forget to try the cheesecake—it’s a must! Bring your family and enjoy the experience.

    Exceptional Dining Experience at Knox Cafe

    This review comes after my second visit to this cafe! I have to say, I’m completely satisfied with everything. It was a pleasure to enjoy a meal at this lovely establishment. Located in the heart of Matale city, the cafe is set in a bustling area. However, once you step inside, you’ll find a serene and quiet atmosphere. They’ve clearly put in a lot of effort to create a five-star dining experience, and it shows. The lighting is soothing, and the temperature is just right, allowing you to enjoy your meal in peace. The service is fantastic. The staff is genuinely helpful, friendly, polite, and attentive. Meals are served with care. As for the food, it was delightful and mouthwatering. The hot battered mushrooms were superb—crispy and perfectly deep-fried. The noodle dish and vegetable rice were also very flavorful. The dolphin rice was more than enough for one person, loaded with sausage, baby corn, prawns, and more. It was truly an excellent dish. I also tried the lasagna for the first time, and it was quite good. There really wasn’t a proper place to enjoy a relaxing meal in this area before, so it’s great to see a cafe like this established. In conclusion, I highly recommend Knox Cafe & Restaurant as an ideal spot to enjoy a delicious meal at a reasonable price in a tranquil setting. Best of luck with your business!

    Impressive dining experience in Matale

    After our visit for tea, we were eager to return for dinner. We ordered the Seafood Marinara and the hot buttered cuttlefish as a starter. The cuttlefish was outstanding, easily one of the best we've had. The pasta was good, but it could be slightly improved. I understand the challenge of making Italian dishes without the right ingredients, yet the food was very, very good. :) The restaurant is beautifully designed and well-maintained, exuding a classy vibe. The staff provided excellent and helpful service. It's great to find a restaurant of this caliber in Matale. On our first visit, we stopped in for a fish roll and a tea, and I was quite impressed. I can't wait to return for a full meal. Prices are very reasonable, and the menu offers plenty of appealing options.

    Disappointing coffee experience

    This is the sole restaurant in Matale boasting a coffee machine, but it falls short for true coffee enthusiasts. The espresso I ordered was quite poor—lacking in creaminess and overly watery. I brought this to the attention of the staff, but they seemed indifferent. Their explanation was that they didn't have a grinder.

    This restaurant is definitely among the finest in Matale! 🤩 The ambiance and atmosphere are simply delightful. The food is delicious and reasonably priced. 😋 We got Nasi goreng for six, which was more than enough. Overall, it was an amazing experience! ✨💯

    Delicious Food and Great Atmosphere

    The food and drinks here are outstanding! We enjoyed the vegetable kotthu, nasi goreng, peach mocktail, and chocolate milkshake, and everything was truly delightful. The restaurant has a lovely appearance, and the staff was wonderful. We can’t wait to return!
