Poor experience at Sachithra Hospital
I cannot recommend Sachithra Hospital. My experience with the nursing staff and receptionist was disappointing. This honest review comes from having my baby admitted for three days.

On the night of 05/12, my father was admitted due to extremely high blood pressure and was initially taken through the ETU before being referred to a cardiologist. Unfortunately, the whole experience was very disappointing. The cardiologist arrived almost an hour late, and we received no updates from the hospital staff about this delay. Even after we told the nursing staff that my father's condition was critical, he didn’t receive timely attention. There were instead long waits while numbers were verified and test results were reviewed sporadically, all without any urgency. For an emergency situation, the lack of communication, responsiveness, and urgency from the staff was unacceptable. This was one of the worst hospital experiences we've encountered, raising serious concerns about patient care in critical situations. I hope the hospital management will take this feedback to heart and work on improving their emergency procedures and staff responsiveness.

Steer clear of Sachitra Hospital. This place is nothing but a scam. They attempted to admit me for an overnight stay without any legitimate medical justification, simply to increase the bill. It's evident that their priority lies in maximizing profits and filling beds rather than ensuring patient well-being. Do yourself a favor and choose a facility that prioritizes medical ethics over financial gain.

This was the worst experience I've had at a private hospital! 1. They don't accept debit or credit cards, which is ridiculous. 2. The atmosphere was dreadful. 3. Patient care was the worst I've encountered. 4. There were no hand sanitizers or any sanitizing facilities. 5. The fans in the waiting areas were turned off. 6. The floor was dirty. 7. The washroom facilities were subpar. 8. The channeling rooms were of poor quality. 9. The seats were rusted, showing a complete lack of hygiene. And they still charge LKR 500 just for the hospital fee. I would advise against visiting this place; government hospitals are much better.

I went to Sachitra Hospital on the night of April 30, 2026, to get some medicine for my toe. I consulted an OPD doctor there, but after four days of taking the prescribed medication, my toe didn't improve. Instead, it got progressively worse, becoming more painful and swollen after following the doctor's advice. I eventually had to see a surgeon who informed me that I now required intravenous antibiotics. It seems like the staff and management at Sachitra Hospital are more focused on inflating the bill with unnecessary expensive medications instead of providing proper diagnoses and effective treatments. As a regular patient, I've recently noticed that their OPD lacks skilled doctors. I'm very disappointed with my experience at Sachitra Hospital and their OPD doctors. I cannot recommend this hospital for medication anymore; it's simply a waste of both time and money.

I was really let down. The security officer didn’t know how to communicate with customers. We parked behind the laboratory because there was a sign indicating parking was allowed. However, after passing through, the gate was locked. When we explained the situation to the security officer and asked him to open the gate, he blamed us and told us not to return. This was my first encounter with such treatment. I urge the management team to address this behavior among your hospital staff. Thank you.

I had a terrible experience here. I took my wife’s reports to show the doctor, and we parked in the car park next to the lab. There was a sign that read “Car park for Cars, Lorry,” pointing towards the back. So, we parked there and headed to the hospital. The VP doctor ended up being 1.5 hours late. That was just the beginning. After our appointment, we returned to find the car park locked with no one around. I asked the security guard to open the gate so we could leave, but he ended up shouting at us. If you’re considering coming here, I strongly advise against it. It’s really the worst. Eww 😖😖

To the doctors and staff at Sachithra Hospital in Panadura, thank you for your kindness and support. My son was admitted on July 11th due to Dengue, and we had no prior knowledge of your hospital. However, we were pleasantly surprised to discover such a great facility. The entire staff provided excellent service, and the charges are reasonable, making it accessible for low-income patients. We truly appreciate the care, kindness, and love we received during our stay until July 14th. Your service is commendable, and we would recommend this hospital to anyone looking for affordable and quality medical care.

I want to share my dissatisfaction with the phone service I received when I called Sachithra Hospital. My call was picked up by a staff member named Nadeeka. Unfortunately, she couldn't provide clear or accurate information about the medical packages on offer. It seemed she lacked the necessary knowledge to assist patients. Moreover, I sensed that she was more focused on ending the conversation quickly rather than genuinely helping me. Consequently, my questions went unanswered, and the overall experience left much to be desired. This level of service does not align with the trust and reputation that Sachithra Hospital has built over the years. Patients should be able to get accurate information via phone without encountering such issues. I urge management to address this situation and take steps to enhance staff knowledge, discipline, and customer service standards, particularly for those on the front lines handling patient inquiries. I hope this feedback is seen as constructive and leads to better service quality.

I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to Sachithra Hospital for the outstanding service that truly saved my life during a critical time. I was admitted on May 2nd due to a complicated pregnancy that required urgent surgery. I was genuinely touched by how attentive and caring the entire team was. Starting with my wonderful VOG, Dr. Jeyashree, who came in on short notice, to the OPD doctor and the whole crew including Matron Pradeepa Rathnayake, Sister Udayangani, Sister Chandima, the anesthetist, and everyone else, including the lab staff and reception – even the cleaning lady, Priyanthi, was friendly and helpful. I was also impressed by the visiting doctors, who were not only kind and funny but also knew how to comfort patients with their words. The food was satisfying, and the cleanliness of both the room and washroom exceeded my expectations. My husband, who was with me, was able to relax comfortably as well. I spent three days there, and the level of service was exceptional. Additionally, I was pleasantly surprised by how reasonable the medical costs were, with no hidden charges, which I greatly appreciated. Thank you once again, Sachithra Hospital Panadura, for creating such a memorable experience filled with care and compassion.
