    Frustrating wait at Ratnapura Singhe Hospital

    I had a very disappointing experience at Ratnapura Singhe Hospital today. I'm writing this review on my way home because the service I received was extremely poor. I faced an excessive wait just to pick up my medication from the pharmacy. This delay was quite inconvenient for me as a patient, and I observed many elderly individuals struggling with the same issue while waiting. There simply weren't enough staff at the pharmacy, leading to unnecessary wait times for patients. If staffing is an issue, more personnel should be assigned during peak hours. Customer service should be prioritized, especially in a private hospital where patients pay for a higher standard of service compared to government hospitals. People opt for private hospitals for comfort, efficiency, and better care, not for long lines and added stress. I really hope management will take swift action to enhance the pharmacy service and overall patient care.

    Exceptional care during a tough time

    We checked into Ratnapura Sinha Hospital on the 26th for the birth of our first child via Caesarean section. It turned out to be even better than we had anticipated; the hospital took care of everything for us. The staff was incredibly friendly and supported us at every step, especially with breastfeeding. By the morning of the 28th, our home was flooded due to the storms affecting all of Sri Lanka, leaving us stranded. In response, the top management decided to keep us at the hospital free of charge. Even though we weren’t billed, we received all the same services, including meals and drinks. I never expected a private hospital to be so generous. I’m truly thankful to all the staff for their kindness during such a challenging time.
