    Outstanding care at Ceylon Hospital

    I had a truly great experience with Dr. Udeni Dhanushka. He was professional, patient, and empathetic during my mother’s visit. He attentively listened to her concerns, clearly explained her condition and treatment options, and provided outstanding care. I also want to highlight Miss Suboda, the doctor’s assistant. She was incredibly helpful, kind, and supportive during the whole treatment process. Her commitment and excellent service made a notable difference in our experience. The hospital staff were welcoming, efficient, and professional. I am extremely thankful for the top-notch medical care and remarkable service we received. Thank you to the management and team at Ceylon Hospital for upholding such a high standard of patient care. I wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Udeni Dhanushka and the hospital to others.

    Mixed feelings about Ceylon Hospital

    I went to Ceylon Hospital twice to help my brother with his migraine treatment. The doctor deserves commendation for delivering excellent service and appropriate care; we were pleased with how attentive he was. On the other hand, I was quite let down by the reception service. The woman at the front desk didn’t even make eye contact while speaking, which struck me as arrogant and unprofessional. I don’t recall her name, but she wore two earrings in each ear, which might help identify her. Her demeanor towards customers was disappointing and certainly didn’t reflect professionalism. Additionally, I found the overall cost to be quite high. For just two visits, including the doctor's fees and other charges, we ended up spending nearly Rs. 40,000, which I felt was exorbitant. The pharmacy experience was another significant letdown. We waited over an hour just to get the medications, which is excessive, especially after already spending a long time at the hospital. In summary, while I appreciate the doctor’s care, the reception and pharmacy services, along with the lengthy wait times and high costs, made our experience rather frustrating. I hope the hospital management will take this feedback to heart and work on enhancing their service quality for patients and their families.

    Disappointing treatment experience

    My mother underwent knee pain treatment at this clinic for three months with Dr. Vibodha Rajanayake. Regrettably, despite spending a considerable amount of money, her condition showed no signs of improvement. Throughout her treatment, he never referred her to a more experienced doctor. Instead, he kept prescribing the same oil treatment, paththu, and massage therapy, but there was no noticeable progress. Eventually, she chose to stop the treatment. I had scheduled an appointment for her on 6 July but cancelled it on 30 June because she no longer wanted to continue. In that same email, I requested a refund. As of today (2 August), I still haven't received the refund or a reasonable explanation for the delay. I've reached out multiple times through phone and WhatsApp, but none of my calls or messages have been returned (photos attached). At this point, it seems like they are just ignoring me, hoping I will eventually give up on pursuing the refund. Based on my experience, I would urge anyone thinking about treatment here to be wary of how they spend their money.
