Unprofessional Doctor WG Eranda Luxman
I made an appointment through Asiri Hospital with Dr. W. G. Eranda Lakshman. The doctor had informed the hospital that he would be available at 10:30, so I booked the appointment and made the payment. Then, around 9:00, I received a call saying that the doctor could not come for just one appointment and that he would come at 1:30 instead, asking whether I was available at that time. Honestly, I found that very unprofessional. I don't care whether there is only one appointment or not—that is not my concern. I am a patient, and I am paying for this service. This is not free medical treatment. Still, I was understanding and agreed to reschedule the appointment to 1:30. However, around 12:30–12:40, I received another call saying that the doctor could not come at 1:30 either and would instead be available at 2:30, again asking whether I was available. What kind of professionalism is this? The way this was handled was extremely unprofessional and wasted my time. Imagine if this had involved a serious medical condition rather than something minor. Patients rely on doctors and hospitals to manage appointments responsibly. Dr. W. G. Eranda Lakshman, in my experience, was extremely unprofessional. My time was wasted repeatedly, and the constant changes to the appointment were unacceptable.
