    Unprofessional Doctor Experience

I've never encountered such an arrogant person in my life. My sister had an appointment with him at 6:30 PM. She suffers from a heart condition and her oxygen saturation was critically low. When I made the appointment, I asked the reception to inform the doctor about her oxygen issues and her special needs. They assured me that he would be on time. It was extremely challenging to take her to this appointment since she was very unwell, panting and exhausted. I told them that my house is just 5 minutes from the hospital and requested to be notified if the doctor was running late. Last minute, they called to say the doctor would arrive at 7 PM. Just before we left, I called again and was told he was on the way. We managed to get her oxygen and brought her, despite the difficulties. This doctor, Amila Walawwata, was an hour late. By then, my sister was in dire need of oxygen, and when I informed the nurse, she told me to ask someone else. This is a private hospital (Winlanka), not a government facility. When the doctor finally arrived, we wheeled my sister in, and he was on the phone, not even looking at us when we greeted him. He had the nerve to yell at us for his lateness. He was incredibly rude and unkind to my sister during the echo exam, scolding her to turn. This man isn’t fit to be a doctor; he’s a complete lunatic. My sister is non-verbal and cannot comprehend, and you would expect a doctor to show some empathy. He claimed that the last three echoes done by other cardiologists were incorrect and suggested we see another specialist. When I mentioned her turning blue, he said to continue her regular medication. He didn’t perform any checks. When we asked him to check her blood pressure, he dismissed us, saying he had another five patients waiting. This man should be held accountable. We don’t need people like him in healthcare. Just because he has a degree doesn’t mean he can treat patients. He lacks basic human compassion and is truly awful. Writing this pains me, especially considering how he treated my little sister, who has special needs and a heart condition. He showed no concern for her low oxygen levels or how difficult the situation was for us. It was a complete waste of time. He suggested we take her to another doctor instead. His demeanor seemed genuinely evil. I urge anyone reading this: DO NOT take your loved ones to this devil. Spend your money elsewhere. I am certain this man, with his arrogance, will face consequences soon.
