I’ll just share the bill here! LKR 450 for a pair of disposable gloves 😆😆 And the cat still had the rash! I recommend going to the vet and pet animal clinic near Thalawathugoda junction: the vet there genuinely cares about the animals instead of just trying to rip people off. (He charged 1500, gave 1 injection, an extra drip, and even a hug to the cat).

Today, we wrapped up Peggy’s treatment at Vets and Pets Animal Hospital in Pelawatta ❤️. About three weeks ago, she had a pus discharge and was feeling lethargic and restless. Late at night, we searched for a hospital and found this one, which is open 24/7. We brought her in the following morning, and that’s how we discovered them. It was a hectic day, but Dr. Wathsala quickly identified it as a bit of an emergency—pyometra, which is an infection of the uterus. This complication stemmed from a previous surgery performed incorrectly by another doctor, where the sutures were attached to the bladder. She treats both dogs and humans with equal diligence, unlike others. There are no quick fixes or hasty solutions; she takes her time and conducts thorough examinations. Dr. Wathsala dedicated five long hours to perform surgery and bladder reconstruction. Her expertise was remarkable, and she managed everything perfectly. 🥺 Thank you, Dr. Wathsala, for saving Peggy and allowing us to celebrate her 5th birthday. The staff were incredibly friendly too. They let me stay two nights with Peggy and even provided a sofa for me to sleep on during my stay. They assisted in feeding her and maintained a supportive environment ❤️. Dr. Wathsala communicated everything clearly 🥺. Once again, thank you to Dr. Wathsala, Dr. Chanaka, Dr. Sudesh, Dr. Shehara, Dr. Charithama, and all the other staff for everything you did for Peggy ❤️. Pegza loves you all very much ❤️.

I can't express enough gratitude to the team at Vets & Pets Animal Hospital for the care they provided for my 9-year-old Golden Retriever, Boomer. 🐾💛 We brought him in during a critical emergency caused by a misdiagnosis from another vet that severely affected my dog. He was dealing with an infection, kidney issues, dehydration, and more. The doctors thoroughly investigated everything with tests, scans, and continuous monitoring while treating him with sincere compassion. They were cautious with medications due to his kidney problems and made sure to discuss every detail, keeping us informed throughout the process. A big thank you to all the doctors and staff for consistently doing what was best for Boomer, especially for the loving care they provided over the two weeks. I also appreciated how clean and organized the hospital was. They even offer an ambulance service, which is a great help for pet owners. I highly recommend Dr. Wathsala and her team for your pet's care.

I want to extend my sincere thanks to Dr. Wathsala and the whole team at Vets & Pets for the outstanding care and support they offered for my little Bruno. Bruno had cataract surgery on both eyes, and from the start, the team impressed me immensely. Dr. Wathsala’s kindness, professionalism, and skill gave me complete reassurance throughout the entire process. She explained everything in detail and showed real compassion for Bruno. The staff at Vets & Pets were also fantastic—always friendly, attentive, and supportive. Their dedication truly made a stressful time much easier for both Bruno and myself. I would give zero stars if I could. The doctors are lethargic, inexperienced, and seem more focused on money than on saving our pets. I brought in a puppy who was in critical condition around midnight. The assistant took one look at him, who was struggling to breathe, and then sat down to fill out information like name, address, and contact details, which took about 20 minutes. There was no sense of urgency at all. No one seemed genuinely concerned about saving his life, and the doctor was incredibly slow, as if the puppy's life didn't matter. They administered several injections, but unfortunately, he passed away. To make matters worse, the assistant handed us a hefty bill for our lifeless pet and spoke to us in a very cold manner. It’s baffling how someone can work in a pet hospital without any empathy towards animals. Very disappointing. Avoid this place if you truly care about your pets.
