    Extremely poor service experience

    We waited an hour and a half for our food, and the service was completely unacceptable. To make matters worse, no one came to clear the plates from our table.

    Delicious Tuna and Pizza Experience

    The food is incredibly tasty. The tuna is fresh and juicy, paired with delightful rice. The pizza is also delicious. I want to give a special shoutout to the manager, Lucky, for his kind welcome, excellent communication, and speedy service. He recommended the chili sauce, which I really appreciated.

    Delicious grilled snapper at Serendib

    We dined at Serendib Restaurant and tried the whole grilled red snapper, chicken biriyani, rice and curry, calamari curry, along with some beer and water. Our total came to roughly 14,000 LKR, which I thought was a fantastic deal given the amount of food we received. The whole grilled red snapper was the star of the meal. Priced at 7,500 LKR, it was fresh, beautifully grilled, and bursting with flavor. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who visits. The chicken biriyani was decent but lacked a bit of flavor, though the portion was quite generous, featuring a whole chicken leg and a boiled egg, making it quite filling. The rice and curry came with a variety of traditional sides like beetroot curry, dhal, eggplant, and papadam. While these sides were enjoyable, the overall meal felt good but not extraordinary. The calamari curry was okay but didn’t leave a lasting impression. The service was warm, and the restaurant had a laid-back vibe. Even though not every dish was unforgettable, the grilled red snapper certainly made the trip worthwhile. If fresh seafood is your thing, that’s what I’d suggest you order here.

    Outstanding local fish experience

    Honestly, the fish here is incredible. It's the best I've tasted in Sri Lanka. I highly recommend it after enjoying a memorable meal at this laid-back restaurant that feels more local compared to the touristy places in town.

    We had an amazing meal packed with deliciousness. The staff was extremely helpful, and the prices were reasonable. The fish tasted incredibly fresh.

    Frustrating dining experience

    We had a really disappointing time. It took 45 minutes just to get a beer, and the staff couldn't even figure out which table ordered which fish. After waiting an hour and a half, they finally brought us fish that wasn't ours, and it was raw. To make matters worse, they were out of potatoes. Overall, I definitely can't recommend this place. Even though it was busy, I noticed that everyone at the nearby tables seemed to leave upset.
