Disappointing service ruins great food
A couple of months ago, I left a glowing 5-star review for this restaurant due to the quality of the food, but my recent experience has completely changed my mind. The customer service has taken a significant downturn, and it seems the staff no longer prioritize respect or hospitality. The atmosphere was quite empty, with only 5 or 6 patrons inside and several vacant, comfortable 4-person tables. My girlfriend and I prefer sitting on the same side of the table, so we approached one of those tables. However, a waiter immediately stopped us and insisted we sit at a 2-person table instead. We ended up at a less comfortable 4-person table near the entrance, waiting for 15 minutes before another waiter approached us, claiming there were tables available inside. We thought we were finally getting a better spot, but instead, he insisted we move to a cramped 2-person table since couples sitting side-by-side seemed to be an issue for them. We tried to brush off our frustration, settled down, received the menus, and then found ourselves ignored for another 15 minutes. The staff weren't busy; they were just loitering until I had to give one of them a pointed look to get their attention. When we finally attempted to place our order, things took a turn for the absurd: we wanted to order Kottu, but were informed it wouldnβt be available until 5:30 PM. Why not include that on the menu to prevent confusion? We then opted for fried rice and inquired about drink options. The reply was simply, "Nothing to drink." Asking about dessert yielded the response, "Only ice cream." At this point, we exchanged glances and decided to leave. Itβs unfortunate because the food is genuinely delicious, but the staff's attitude and utter lack of effort ruined the experience. I wonβt be returning.
