This hotel is quite beautiful, and the staff is really helpful. The rooms are roomy, and there are plenty of activities for kids. The onsite bird park is quite impressive, and the pool is a great size, plus they have a pool for children as well. It's an AMAZING value...

The hotel was absolutely gorgeous. The pool was pristine, and the views were stunning. One of the standout features of our stay was the peacocks wandering freely around the property, which added a delightful charm. The food was tasty, and while a special dinner was suggested for December 25th, the buffet itself felt quite ordinary and lacked music. Nevertheless, the buffet offered a good selection of dishes, from appetizers to desserts, so there was plenty to savor. The complimentary visit to the bird park was truly worthwhile. We encountered birds we had never seen before, and they appeared to be healthy, free, and well cared for within a spacious natural habitat. The elephant feeding experience was unforgettable. It was our first time touching elephants, and they seemed to be well treated, with no excessive chains, calm demeanor, and excellent training. The staff were consistently friendly and helpful during our stay. Although we were supposed to check into our room at 2 pm and ended up getting it about an hour later, we arrived late ourselves, so it wasn't a big deal. The room was roomy, clean, and comfortable, making the overall experience definitely worth the cost. My family would certainly return, and we highly recommend this hotel for anyone seeking a unique and memorable getaway.

Firstly, I want to give a shoutout to the receptionist who took my call. I wasn’t looking to book a stay but wanted to ask if my team and I could have lunch at the hotel restaurant. The lady on the phone was incredibly friendly and courteous. She listened carefully and promptly informed me that lunch could be arranged. After that call, I decided that no matter the cost, I would definitely come by for lunch. So, a big thank you to that lovely lady. The hotel itself is stunning and peaceful. The highlight was the food, which was genuinely good. I usually have mediocre experiences with food at star-class hotels since they often cater to tourists, resulting in bland flavors for us locals. However, the dishes here were spot on for our tastes. The portion sizes were generous, and the prices were quite reasonable for a star-class hotel. The restaurant staff were also friendly and accommodating. On the downside, the people who seemed to be in charge (perhaps managers) didn’t appear very welcoming, often wearing unsmiling expressions and giving off a rather rude vibe. Maybe it was because we were only there for lunch, but it wasn’t a big deal as the rest of the staff were truly lovely. In summary, it’s a beautiful venue with wonderful staff. I definitely recommend stopping by for a meal at least.

We had a fantastic stay! The food was incredibly tasty, and the room service was excellent. The highlight of the resort was definitely the pool, which was impeccably kept, along with the birds experience that was truly enjoyable. The elephant that visited in the morning was absolutely adorable, especially when we fed it. Overall, Birds Resort Hambanthota deserves a solid 10/10, and I highly recommend visiting!

From the moment we arrived, we appreciated their warm hospitality and friendliness. The rooms were roomy, tidy, and cozy. The walls featured bird-themed artwork, which added a nice touch.
