Even though I made a last-minute reservation, the service was outstanding. The food was tasty, and I appreciate that there were no artificial flavors involved. The service truly surpassed my expectations, especially the lady who attended to us; she went the extra mile to help. Kudos to everyone at Grand Camellia; we’ll definitely return soon. :)

I spent two nights at Grand Camellia and had a fantastic experience. The room was spacious, well-maintained, and offered a lovely view of the city. The breakfast buffet featured an excellent selection, and the restaurant on-site provided tasty meals. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. Plus, the location is ideal, being close to business districts and various attractions. My only recommendation would be to extend the pool access hours and improve the cleaning around it. Overall, I highly recommend Grand Camellia and can't wait to return. Five stars!

I spent a night in an AC room, which was decent, but the AC didn't function properly. I ordered hot butter cuttlefish, but they were unable to prepare it correctly. At Rs. 2090, the price would have been fair if the dish had been good, but I left feeling quite let down. You can stay there, but I wouldn’t recommend ordering food. 🤮🤢

This hotel feels like it needs a lot of upkeep and has a dungeon-like vibe. The swimming pool hasn’t been cleaned in a long time, and I even spotted frogs in it. Their charges are quite steep compared to the state of the amenities they offer.

I can’t give less than 1 star because our experience was quite poor. Let me explain why. We made a reservation through booking.com and upon seeing the room, we didn’t feel comfortable staying there. It wasn’t clean, and there were no bed sheets, towels, or a dust bin. We paid 2850 LKR for this room and requested a change, then booked a second room online for an additional 5000 LKR. The online listing showed a beautiful room, but what we were given was different. When we asked for the room that matched the picture, they requested an extra 1500 LKR. This meant the information on booking.com didn’t match what we were told. They asked us to cancel the first booking, which we did. The second booking was made online, so we thought everything was fine. However, the hotel owner called us and pressured us to cancel all bookings without a clear explanation. Frustrated with the situation, we ended up canceling everything. Later, when we wanted to go out to buy something from the shop, the front door was locked at 21:00. It’s not a hostel, right? Then, my boyfriend was sitting outside on the terrace around 22:00 when a woman came and turned off the lights without saying a word. We went to bed but couldn’t sleep due to an overwhelming number of mosquitoes in the room. After a sleepless night, we had to check out between 7 and 8, which felt too early.

This is the best spot I've found at an affordable price. The service is outstanding, delivered with genuine care. I strongly recommend this hotel for a pleasant stay.

The hotel lacks any amenities, and there isn't even a bed in the room. If you opt for a room priced at 8800, you'll find that you won't actually be paying the listed rate. Staying in a room by the roadside is definitely a better option. This place is just not good at all.

I had a very disappointing time at this wedding banquet hall. The air conditioning wasn't functioning properly, which made the venue quite uncomfortable for everyone. The table setup was poorly organized, leaving very little space between tables and creating congestion that was inconvenient for guests. The food did not live up to expectations, lacking in both flavor and presentation. On top of that, the service from the staff was lacking; they seemed inattentive and unprofessional in addressing guests' needs. Overall, the management of the event, the food, and the service fell short of the standards one would expect from a hotel wedding venue. I wouldn't recommend this place for weddings or special occasions.
