    Wonderful stay at Maho Boutique Hotel

    We spent two nights at Maho Boutique Hotel and truly enjoyed our time there. From our arrival, the staff were very friendly, attentive, and willing to assist. They organized a fantastic safari to Wilpattu with an outstanding guide who made the trip unforgettable, and they also provided bikes for us to explore the local temples. The hotel is immaculate, featuring modern, comfortable rooms, a beautiful pool, and a serene environment that’s ideal for unwinding after a day of sightseeing. The food was always tasty. What really impressed us was the personal touch in everything they did. Nothing was too much trouble, and every detail was thoughtfully addressed to ensure our stay was memorable. I highly recommend this place to anyone traveling to Anuradhapura.

    Charming boutique hotel in Sri Lanka

    Maho exemplifies the potential of a boutique hotel. The rooms are not only clean but also spacious and stylish, ensuring a very comfortable stay. Although we didn't take a dip in the swimming pool, it appeared clean and was certainly large enough for the hotel's size. The staff were particularly welcoming and accommodating. We enjoyed a high-quality breakfast at the hotel, featuring a Sri Lankan style menu. This is a fantastic discovery in a serene area of Sri Lanka, and we would absolutely consider returning.

    This lovely boutique hotel quickly became one of our top picks during our trip. Situated just outside the bustling city center, it offers a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. The rooms are spotless and tastefully decorated — and the bed was the most comfortable we experienced on our journey. The garden is beautifully maintained, and the pool is ideal for unwinding after a day exploring the city. The food is outstanding, from breakfast through dinner, thanks to their talented chef who accommodates your spice preferences. The owners are extraordinarily kind, going out of their way to ensure you feel welcomed and at home. They assist with booking tuk-tuks, provide bicycles, arrange guides, and offer excellent suggestions for nearby activities. I highly recommend this place as the perfect base for discovering the ancient sites of Anuradhapura!

    Maho Boutique Hotel was the highlight of our four-week journey in Sri Lanka. The location is serene and pleasant, the comfort level is outstanding, and the rooms are spacious, stylish, and very cozy.     Maho Boutique Hotel is a hidden treasure and a fantastic option for those visiting the historical site of Anuradhapura. Its location is perfect — it's the nearest hotel to the archaeological site, making early excursions to the digs particularly easy. The hotel is cozy and intimate, featuring just three rooms, which allows for a highly personalized and attentive service experience. Everything appears quite new and is impeccably maintained. The rooms are spacious, immaculately clean, and tastefully designed. The beds are extremely comfortable, and each room boasts a private terrace that overlooks a lovely garden and pool — a delightful spot to unwind after a day of sightseeing. The bathroom is expansive and well-equipped, complete with a rain shower, a decent hair dryer, and all the essentials you might need. The food is superb, and the staff are incredibly friendly, warm, and attentive, always eager to go above and beyond to fulfill every request. I will certainly choose Maho Boutique Hotel again for my next trip to the Anuradhapura excavations. Highly recommended!

    I’m a week late in sharing my review, but my family and I enjoyed a fantastic two-night stay here! The location was tranquil and beautifully designed, striking a perfect balance between modern comfort and local charm. The food stood out as one of the best parts of our visit. Each meal was fresh, flavorful, and expertly prepared. I particularly loved the ambul thiyal, while my parents were fans of the breakfast spread, which featured a lovely combination of traditional Sri Lankan dishes and healthy choices. The pool area was a peaceful retreat from the heat, surrounded by greenery that created a private oasis feel. What truly set our experience apart was the exceptional service. Every staff member was friendly, attentive, and ready to assist with any request. They truly went the extra mile to ensure we felt welcomed and at home. We also had the pleasure of meeting the owner, who was a joy to talk to—friendly, energetic, and generous with travel recommendations.
