    Pleasant stay with minor location issue

    Our experience at Why Not Palace was quite enjoyable. The main drawback was its distance from other restaurants and the main street, which meant we had to rely on tuk tuks to get around. However, the rooms were tidy, and the staff was accommodating (though not everyone spoke English). We relished a fantastic breakfast on the main balcony, and the rooftop terrace was a nice touch where we could relax with fruit and tea provided by the hosts.

    Charming guesthouse with great food

    This charming guesthouse features incredibly friendly hosts. We enjoyed some tasty food while sipping beer on the balcony of the top floor. The beds were cozy, and the air conditioning was refreshingly cold. Additionally, there was ample space to park our tuk tuk.

    Comfortable stay with warm hospitality

    We enjoyed a spacious and stunning room that was impeccably clean and stylish, complete with cozy details. The bathroom was excellent, and the room featured an effective fan and air conditioning. The beds were large and incredibly comfortable, allowing us to sleep soundly. We received a warm welcome and met the entire family, all of whom were very friendly and eager to ensure our comfort. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. We stayed here on our journey back from Jaffna to Colombo by train, and the hotel was conveniently situated just a short tuk-tuk ride from the station and several good local restaurants.

    Clean rooms with some communication issues

    The rooms are very clean and equipped with AC and a fan. However, they do charge an additional 500 LKR each time you want to use the kitchen. The person managing the house and assisting guests doesn't speak English, which makes it a bit challenging to communicate. Overall, we enjoyed our stay, and there was no unpleasant smell of mold or dampness.

    Great service and clean rooms

    The establishment is quite tidy, and the owner is incredibly helpful. I required a ground floor room for my grandparents, and the owner was very accommodating. The housekeeping staff member is also exceptionally friendly, thoughtful, and attentive, providing kind assistance to my grandparents. The prices are quite reasonable, the rooms are lovely, and the bathrooms are very clean. I would definitely recommend this place!

    Charming and Spacious Room

    We found our room to be charming and roomy, beautifully decorated and furnished, spotlessly clean, with a great bathroom. The small balcony provided a lovely spot to relax. The high ceilings on the first floor added to the spacious feel. The air conditioning worked well, and the bed and pillows were comfortable. The electric shower functioned perfectly.

    Pleasant stay with minor inconvenience

    Everything was good; the room was nice, and the shower functioned well. Breakfast was tasty too. The only downside is that you need to walk or take a tuk-tuk to get to the restaurants.

    Great stay with wonderful hospitality

    We spent a day here and had a lovely experience. The rooms are spacious, spotless, and quite comfortable. The bathrooms are also kept very clean. The host, who is incredibly helpful and friendly, really made our stay enjoyable. I highly recommend this place and truly appreciate the excellent hospitality we received.

    Comfortable Stay at Why Not Palace

    I've stayed at Why Not Palace more than seven times during my visits to Anuradhapura. They offer several types of rooms, all equipped with AC and hot water. The property is well-kept, and the rooms are consistently clean and tidy. It's located about 3-4 km from the sacred city and is also close to the new town. The staff are friendly and handle customer interactions professionally. They offer facilities for guests to prepare "Kiri Ahara" and can also prepare it for visitors at a reasonable price.
